Review: Great clock that is highly visible, easy to program - Love this clock, it's huge just like I wanted. I was able to setup a nice install so the wires were completely hidden. But it's a great addition to the office and already been helpful for keeping on time for meetings, talk time and presentations. Plus the stopwatch feature has been helpful too surprisingly as I've been practicing some things that need to be timed under 1 minute. Also if you run a podcast, I also think that this would be very useful sitting behind the camera. Oh, the brightness setting is useful, being in my home office, I think the lowest setting is good enough because it can get bright (a great feature).
Review: Not a Standard use case (Electronics Project) - I bought this clock because I am heavily into electronics and I wanted a fun project to sink my skills into. My issue with clocks like these, is that they cannot sync Timezone or DST. My entire goal was to remove the controller (the brain of the clock) and replace it with something better. I have put a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W into this clock. I have wired up the Digits (4 wires) the IR sensor (1 wire) and put in a better speaker. (1 wire) This clock keeps Time as perfectly as my phone does, supports all the original functions the original clock did. Stopwatch, Timer, Date, Room Temp, and Alarm clock. I replaced the Thermal sensor with a much better and accurate one that reads in both C and F down to the 3rd decimal. I setup a web panel to add Audio clips for any alarm events I need, like new years for example. The speaker I added has a small OPAMP IC attached to a USB Audio device connected to the pi. My clock program can play audio clips whenever the a set alarm time calls for it. This project was a lot of fun, and as an electronics nerd, I encourage others to seek out other products to tinker with and learn from.

**Q: Can I shut out display completely during night time?**
A: You would have to unplug it to get the display to turn off. There’s no way to do what you are asking(at least that I’ve found) and it is quite bright.

**Q: Does countdown timer have silent mode once it hits zero? I want to use it for speaking, but don't want it to beep once it gets to zero**
A: Not sure but the beep is so quiet no one will hear it anyway. It only gives 3 very fast short beeps. You can always disconnect the pizza alarm. It is easy to get to.

**Q: Is there a way to silent to countdown timer once it hits zero? I want to use it for speaking and don’t want it to beep once it hits zero**
A: I have never heard any kind of buzzer. We use mine fir speaking on TV and videos.

**Q: Dose it work in cold weather 15 to 30 degrees**
A: My clock is positioned in my office about six inches above a flat screen TV.  The temperature in the office fluctuates but never falls below 65 degrees Fahrenheit or above 80 degrees. At that range of temperatures, the clock hasn’t skipped a beat. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to any temperature below 65.

Love this clock, it's huge just like I wanted. I was able to setup a nice install so the wires were completely hidden. But it's a great addition to the office and already been helpful for keeping on time for meetings, talk time and presentations. Plus the stopwatch feature has been helpful too surprisingly as I've been practicing some things that need to be timed under 1 minute. Also if you run a podcast, I also think that this would be very useful sitting behind the camera.
