Stars and Stripes Forever
I purchased this flag in Sept. '11 for just under $30. I have flown this flag on a 20' flag pole in East Texas almost everyday since, except for inclement weather. I do try to remove the flag during thunderstorms and rain. For 8 months it has flown and it remains in almost the same new condition as when I received it. There are no threads starting to run, no ends starting to fray, and no obvious colors fading (red, white, or blue). It is a well constructed heavy duty flag that, while it won't last forever (surely), it should outlast the $10-$20 flags that I have purchased in the past by many months. I usually have to replace those less expensive flags every 6-8 months (and the "wear" on those flags are obvious well before then), but not with this one. You can tell it's heavy duty when you first take it out of the box and it looks very nice on the flag pole. It flies well, but does need a somewhat faster breeze to get it to stand out, unlike the previous flags I have had. For me, it is worth the price and I have been very pleased so far with this tough Annin Tough-Tex Woven Polyester flag.Update (9/5/12): It has now been approximately one year since I began flying this flag. Again, it flies everyday except during inclement weather. The flag is still in very good condition. The reds and blues are starting to fade slightly (but it is really only noticeable when you see the flag up close) but still looks great from the ground. I have seen a couple of threads on the bottom corner of the stipes end beginning to fray, but other than that the flag is still holding together very well. It still maintains a "heavy feel" to the material it is made of. The grommets are still in good shape and have not rusted out like other less expensive flags I have had. I would have most likely purchased at least two lower cost flags by now. First time I have knowingly owned an Annin flag and I am very pleased so far.Update (9/17/13): Truly amazing for a flag! I have now flown the flag for two years on the same 20 foot flag pole....day in, day out, except for inclement weather most times. It is still in really good shape. All seams are still holding together well, grommets are still in good shape (no rusting or "wear thru" that is evident), no tearing, shredding, or loose seams in the flag's end that waves in the breeze, and it still has a "heavy feel" to the material of the flag. It has faded a little more, but the reds and blues are still easily distinguishable from the ground (just not as deep in color as last year) and if I weren't critiquing the flag, I wouldn't even mention it. The fraying threads on the bottom corner, I mentioned last year, have NOT worsened and could have been threads cut during manufacturing process. (I'm thinking they should start making airplane black boxes out of this material!) Very, very pleased with this flag! Well worth the money and if you don't fly it everyday (as on holidays only), it will probably easily last you for a lifetime! If Annin doesn't change the way they construct this flag, I will definitely buy another....if I ever need to! (And NO, I have no personal ties to Annin....just know they are an American company that evidently produces an excellent product!)Update (9/16/14): The flag has now flown for three years on the same 20' pole. It is faded, but the reds and blues are still distinguishable from the ground, just not as deep and rich in color as new. The white portions of the flag are still white and have not yellowed. The flag itself is still holding up very well in regards to its seams. There have been no threads or seams that have separated and the end of the flag is not tattered or shredding as so many flags do. It is not as stiff as when it was new, of course, but it still has a heavy feel to the cloth. The grommets are still intact and viable, as I use metal clasps that attach the flag to the rope and would have expected these to have worn through by now. I'm still very pleased with this flag. I would have purchased probably 5-6 of the standard nylon/polyester flags by now, so it has been well worth the money. Thanks Annin for a great American flag to be proud of!5/1/15- The above flag has now been retired from its pole permanently. It began separating at the seams of the red and white field stripes near the fly end of the flag. The embroidered stars began to unravel also. As of 5/31/15, I began flying another new Annin Tough-Tex flag to replace the old one. There are many companies saying they are selling an Annin Tough-Tex flag, but be careful......unless they say Annin on the hoist end of the flag, it is NOT an Annin!

Stands up to harsh weather!
This flag endured record winds and rain in the middle of Nebraska. The flag pole itself nearly toppled over but not a stitch was out of place on this flag! It looks great! No fading!

Vibrant rich colors and tough polyester fabric.
Flag feels very high quality, which I would certainly hope so for $50. I’ve flown a 3x5 Tough Tex before, and I really like that the colors are rich and how the polyester fabric feels very tough indeed. However with the particular flag I received I unfortunately do have one potentially major quality concern. It appears as though the union and stripes were not properly aligned when the flag was being sewn together, as there’s a visible bump when transitioning from the corner of the union to the top red stripe. Ol’ Glory just went up yesterday, I guess we’ll see how the central Florida sun and weather treats her. If necessary, stars will be deducted from my review for this potential quality control oversight, but I hope this flag gives me many months of service and that it won’t come to that.

Absolutely Beautiful American Flag
You cannot go wrong with Annin Flagmakers. They are one of the best companies around! This particular flag is made perfectly... with heavy-duty fabric and vibrant colors. I was a little worried it might be too heavy to actually wave in the wind, but I was soon proven wrong. It flies beautifully on my tall flagpole each and every day! This one will last for years! Great buy. Excellent product.

Quality and durability for high wind with no fading
Have had this flag for 2 years. No fading but a little bit of tearing. We live in a high wind area so is expected. Lasted longer than any flag we bought before. Assembly was easy well worth the money.

Have been great flags but small issue with this one
Have bought these polyester Annin flags in the past. The great… they are super durable and never had them fray on the outer edge like other brands and types. The not so good… they fade quicker than nylon or other materials but also MUCH more durable. The most recent one I received had some stitching issues on one of the stars you can see in the pic. I tried to find where I could contact the seller direct to let them know about the quality issue but wasn’t able to. I tried to repair the loose string the best I could by tying it into knots to keep from unraveling. I couldn’t stomach sending this flag back and it just disrespectfully end up in the trash somewhere.I’ll definitely give this American made flag manufacturer another try since I have never had any issues with them in the past.

I Love this flag!
This is the best flag you can buy,I always keep a backup at the ready as I fly my flag 24/7 and I get usually 3 years out of these. They are very durable, hold the color great, are well constructed and worth every penny paid. Simply the best!
