I am a cola-aholic and had the yellow teeth to prove it. There has been a noticeable difference after every use. Nearly a shade each time. If you are a cola, coffee or tea drinker, I think it would work for you as well. If you have gentically off color teeth, discoloration from medication or are a meth head, maybe not. This product is a micro ABRASIVE surface cleaner. It is NOT a bleaching agent. There has been no sensitivity to my teeth from using it. Some gum abrasion is very possible - more on that later. The pot is small, but a little goes a long way. Given its effectiveness for me, it seems a bargain. The powder is very fine and can make a mess. It cleans up easily. Open it over the sink. There is no inside seal on the pot, so expect loose powder when opening it the first time. Use a separate, soft brush. Lean over your sink for drips. You'll need to figure out the powder to water ratio that works best for you. If you use a lot of water, expect more mess, but it wipes up easily. DO NOT intentional brush gums or soft tissues as you would with toothpaste. Again, this is an abrasive. I had a bit of rawness along front upper gum line the first two times. It went away overnight. Practice and care reduced this happening. Hold your brush straight, don't angle into your gums. This also reduces pushing powder under the gums, as some have complained. (Not a problem for me.) I have some un-even teeth and have been able to clean into those nooks and crannies. I was concerned about taste. It has NO taste to me. Follow up with a regular toothpaste brushing works to clean away residual powder. In addition to cleaning away the yellowing, my teeth feel cleaner, not quite dentist clean but close. My breath is also improved. I'm thrilled with my purchase. I will be buying it again and recommending it to family and friends.

Active Wow’s charcoal powder surprised me. After just a few uses, I noticed my teeth looked cleaner and a bit whiter. It’s a simple routine, just dip your brush and go. The taste is mild (not bad at all for charcoal), and it doesn’t feel harsh or gritty. I love that it uses natural ingredients and doesn’t leave my mouth feeling sensitive like some whitening strips. It can get a little messy if you’re not careful, but the results are worth it. Great addition to a natural oral care routine.

I've been using this stuff off and on for 7 months and I finally decided to write a review. I kept waiting for my results to be like all the other "WOW" results, but if I'm being completely honest, this hasn't made a HUGELY noticeable different in the whiteness of my teeth long term. In my experience, it acts like a polish. Right after you use it, your teeth do look whiter and cleaner, but the results aren't really lasting. If you want your teeth to look really white all the time, you'd have to use it regularly, multiple times a day. That's fine, but if you're looking for more permanent results and don't like the idea of brushing with this stuff on the regular, then you might want to adjust your expectations. My advice for use: Use it in conjunction with your regular toothpaste! Use it with an ultrasonic toothbrush! Use it with your mouth closed! Rinse your sink thoroughly after use! Rinse your mouth thoroughly after use! What I do is put my regular toothpaste on my ultrasonic toothbrush head, wet the toothbrush/toothpaste, then lightly tap it into the container of charcoal, then put it in my mouth and turn the toothbrush on. It works great. I don't have to brush separately with just this and my teeth look and feel really clean afterward. If you're going to use it with an electric toothbrush, DO NOT pull the toothbrush head out of your mouth until it shuts off or you will have a big mess on your hands. Otherwise I don't find this to be any more messy than regular brushing. It just looks totally gross. All in all it does have a whitening effect on my teeth if I use it regularly, but not as dramatic as other reviews might lead you to believe. At least not in my experience. I probably won't buy this again and will just go for professional whitening next time. It really isn't bad and doesn't taste completely horrible, it's just not as great as I hoped it would be. I've been using this product for a few weeks now, there are some things I LOVE and absolutely dislike about this product. I'll start with the good though. This product DOES work very well, but I didn't take before or after photos, because I really didn't think I'd be leaving a review. My bottom teeth have always been more yellow than my top, and I'm missing up back top teeth that left the inside teeth next to the gaps a bit discolored. I have very sensitive teeth, but this product didn't irritate them OR my gums at all! After about 5 days, (using twice per day) my bottom teeth lightened up a few shades, and my back teeth began to blend much better with my top teeth. So yes, this product really does work, and the price is very much worth it for the amount of product that you get. The things that I don't like... it's messy. The first few times I used it, I got the charcoal everywhere lol. It took some practice but I'm now able to use the product without making my bathroom sink look like a dug up graveyard. It doesn't rinse out well. There is always some lefts over residue between my teeth. I use this product before I brush my teeth normally, that way after I brush them with normal toothpaste, the product goes away completely. It doesn't taste like anything. NOT necessarily a bad thing, but it'd be nice if it had a bit more of a mint kick to it. It stains your tooth brush black. If you're like me, I like my hygiene and home clean and orderly. I was so grossed out after my tooth brush turned black. So I bought a separate tooth brush to use regular tooth paste with, and one for the charcoal. Overall, I love this product. The results definitely outway the cons, and for being a sensitivity safe product, it's worth it!

Wow!! This stuff really works! First time will clean your teeth up good. Second time will make them white! Not as messy as some reviewers have said. Just close your mouth for most of your brushing. Will only go all over the place if you're half asleep in the morning.
