Brilliant Smart Lighting – Versatile, Bright & Easy to Use!
I recently purchased the Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus V4, and it has completely transformed my space! Whether for mood lighting, accenting furniture, or smart home automation, this lightstrip delivers on all fronts. What I Loved:Vibrant & Customizable Colors – The brightness is impressive, and the range of colors is endless! Whether I want a warm white for relaxation or dynamic colors for a party, this strip does it all.Smart Home Integration – Works seamlessly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. Controlling it via voice commands is effortless.Easy Setup & Expandable – The Bluetooth setup is quick, and it connects easily to my Hue Bridge for additional features. Plus, it’s extendable for larger setups.Syncs with Music & Movies – When paired with the Hue Sync app, it enhances movies and music, making for an immersive experience.Minor Considerations:Requires a Hue Bridge for full features – While Bluetooth works for basic functions, you’ll need the Hue Bridge to unlock advanced automation and remote control.Adhesive could be stronger – Sticks well on smooth surfaces, but I’d recommend extra adhesive or mounting clips for long-term placement. If you’re looking for high-quality, smart LED lighting, this is one of the best options available. It’s bright, responsive, and integrates seamlessly into any smart home system. Highly recommend! The lights are durable and good value for money.

Second Hue Light strip - Same Result - Great
So this is my second light strip for under the the kitchen counter. Again no issues and having learned from installing the first one this was even easier. Cut the strip as needed and installed no issues. Again I've seen some reviews where people say the adhesive isn't very good. When I bought my first strip I was wary of that and when I pulled the first piece of backing of the adhesive cover it pulled the whole adhesive leaving a less than sticky strip. This is what happens when you pull the adhesive cover from the end of the strip even when you cut. Carefully reversed what I did and then pulled the adhesive cover from the cut line in the strips. You can see many cut lines in the adhesive cover pull it there! Trust me) All in all love the colour and brightness in the kitchen now. Great product. Would by again

Coil Whine + limited application
These are easy to use and cut, and generally work well for the price. There are a series of adhesive strips on the back that can be tricky to peel, but otherwise they are easy to fit. However, the power adapter has horrible coil whine. It’s not exclusive to this product, it’s quite common in the hue lineup. But if you are trying to track down a high pitched whine, try turning your hue light down. The strip gets plenty bright, but as it’s not diffused in anyway you can only really include it it out-of-sight areas to reflect or bounce light off a wall. This works great at the top of a wardrobe or cupboard, but less so on the back of a desk, where you’ll see lots of spot lighting on the wall.I’ve had one running for 5+ years in my kitchen with no issues on durability and the app offers plenty of colour customisations. Connection is a breeze, but you’ll need a hue hub.

I love this product
I have a couple of these in the house and love the lighting they provide. If I were to criticise them it would be the wiring does restrict how it can be used. The last set needed to be slightly further from the power supply and connection point than was possible. Extending power to the transformer was possible, but the transformer to the light required buying non-Philips products, which were cheaply made but high price. Please check the length of connection you need before buying these.

Excellent product
Easy to set up, easy to apply (sticks well). Works smoothly. What more can one ask. Worth the money for reliability and simplicity.

Quality LED Strips that Last
I have 4 of these strips now, they provide excellent colour quality, with dedicated cold and warm white LEDs alongside the colour one.Version 4 has a really nice modular design, making connecting them up a breeze. They go for fewer, brighter LEDs so if you are bouncing the light off a surface you'll either need a larger gap or a diffusing solution. I wouldn't reccomend having the stips be directly visible as the gap between LEDs is too large to defuse in a compact way.I use Hue over cheaper alternatives because the hub and software are solid performers. They have outlasted all the 3rd party light strips I have tried, so the higher price point on these is worth it, especially (at time of writing) £60 for 2m extendable.

Have a plan to support them
The lights are excellent, the sticky back for attaching them isn't, at best it's useless, at worst it's absolutely useless. So with that in mind have a plan to fix them in position. I bought 2 sets and both exactly the same, the sticky back is the same strength as sellotape. I placed mine behind a pelmet and its great. They offer some aluminium trunking to support them but I sent mine back.

Doesn't stick
Normally like Hue stuff a lot, but this is not so good. Not sticky. Just has double sided sellotape on back. Really cheap and nasty touch to it.
