There’s no indication on the packing suggesting that this is organic, but it does say no preservatives, additives or fillers. The company is in California, but it doesn’t say where the anise is grown.

Can I put this in a grinder?

You can order ground star anise. I have both. I bought whole spice so I coukd strain it out of liquid drink.

It is processed in a facility that also processes gluten, but we do everything we can to prevent cross contamination.
