This lightweight bag is splendid as a carry-on complement. It will hold your iPad in its case, a Kindle, earbud cases, supplemental battery, travel documents, wallet, pens, maybe a couple of small snacks -- everything you want to keep handy at your seat, and it's small enough that you can put it in the seat pocket in front of you. I keep all my important stuff in it and it never leaves me, so I don't have to get up and dig out my carry-on to get my stuff or put it away before landing.The main pocket is zippered; there is a small pocket in the front but it's not really big enough for much else than earbuds. The back has some minimal padding, but I wouldn't entrust my iPad to this bag without its case.The shoulder strap is adjustable but can not be removed (it's sewn to the sides of the bag).A beautiful, very convenient bag that's a real bargain at this price.[update] i forgot to mention a very convenient small inner zippered pocket. Love this bag!

I am so delighted with this bag! My old Bible case was nice, but it was falling apart after many years of use. I didn't want to rush out and just get any old case to replace it. So I bided my time and thought about what I wanted. I wanted to be able to either swing the handle over my arm or (even better) have a shoulder strap. I'm already carrying my purse to church, and hate having to also hold onto a short handle which is usual for most Bible cases. Naturally, I wanted space for my Bible, a small notebook, and some pens. Well, this bag is PERFECT! The padded interior holds my Bible and notebook perfectly. It smoothly zips closed. Along with the generous flap I know it will be safe in wet weather. There is an extra pocket which is perfect for pens and papers. Then, the strap is quite comfortable and long enough to adjust to my needs. So far I'm wearing it as a shoulder strap, but I know I'll be able to switch to cross body if I find the need. The whole bag seems to be very well made and I expect to be using it for many, many years. I love it!

I like it so well I bought another.This is my favorite EDC bag. I carried the first one for 2.5 years until it was stolen. The zipper on the top of my first bag did eventually fail, but that's not a hindrance, since it was mostly just a useless hassle.I don't carry it everywhere, but I do keep it close. For example, I leave it in my car when I'm in the grocery store, and leave it at my desk when I'm at work.Pros: lightweight, ideal size for me, comfortable to carry.Con: NO carrying handle. I wove my own carry handle with some paracord and a couple of carabiners.Con/Pro: 1 big pocket, no dividers. Stuff can fall out of the front pocket, so I rarely use it. The inside zippered pocket is very small, so useful for keeping smaller things you don't want mixing with the main pocket, like a charging cable or earbuds. The majority of my stuff is tossed into the main pocket. OTOH, lots of little pockets make a bag heavier. It's part of the reason my old Maxpedition bag was so heavy.

I bought this as a replacement for a bag that got stolen. This bag is nice and holds my ipad air. I the the canvas material and the adjustable straps. The only thing I do not like is the zipper. It will catch on the flaps on the inside of the bag so you have to be a little careful not to get it stuck.

I already have a very nice iPad bag, and was looking for another one that would be very light and packable so I can put it in my luggage and switch to it instead of my backpack/briefcase when on the road. This bag fits the bill very well.What it's good for:--Very light--Packs easily. It's all soft canvas, so you can simply roll it and put in in a suitcase to use later at your destination--Fits a tablet very well, and overall it's just the right size for this kind of manpurse.What it's not good at:--Not good if you want this as your primary ipad bag, this is more of a backup in case you need it or to pack it.--Very sparse padding, which is why it's not a good primary bag--There is a zipper with a metal handle INSIDE of the tablet compartment. This is a horrible design flaw, basically if you do not have your iPad in a case the zipper inside the compartment (you will not even know that zipper is there till it's too late) will scratch your tablet or its screen easily.--The strap is curiously short, I really don't understand why they made it so short when it has a nice adjustable mechanism. At maximum it kind of works for me but it really needs a few inches.Overall I give three starts because it fits my purpose of being packable, and my tablet is in a case so the hidden inner zipper didn't scratch up the tablet.

We purchased for an Indiana Jones costume. The quality was great and it was just as it looked in the pictures.

The only thing I see as a problem with this bag is the strap length. It fits me great if worn across the body on the longest possible setting, but I am a 5'4" woman. I don't think most men could wear the bag this way.The strap and the bag itself feel like durable materials and I put some very heavy items inside of it. I like the size...its smaller than a typical messenger bag, but big enough that I don't overstuff it. I do not have an iPad....I just carry it to work and for running errands. It looks great with jeans or khakis. I use the small pocket on the inside for my ID and credit cards. The appearance of the bag is nice....the same goes for all of the Rothco bags that I've seen in person. The canvas has a thick, rugged appearance.

Not bad like to have more storage for now will do it small and will hold1 - phone1 - Ipad Mini or a Ipad1 - Wallet
