Raise Your Hand!
This was a very special book to read because Dutch himself read each chapter to us and it gave it that real human touch. We chose if we wanted to read the chapter, read the chapter before or read the chapter after his presentation. I believe each story had a story that related to Dutch, normally in a humorous way. It made him so much more personable, not that he isn't. I watched him read each chapter on TV and I felt like he was reading it just to me. I saw him laugh at himself and I saw him almost cry on several occasions, on things that really touch his heartstrings. I honestly did not want it to come to an end. He kept saying he felt that it would help to bring us closer to the Father. I not only feel closer to the Father after reading the book but it definitely gave me a much better understanding of who the Father is and what the Father is asking for from me, and it is not to much that I can't give back. At least now I know from reading this book. It is a jewell to have in your reading library.I have been away from the Catholic Church for over 40 years after the priest refused to baptize my sickly, premature, baby boy because his father wasn't there because he was very abusive and I had filed for divorce. The priest told me I needed to go home, with his dad, and we needed to pray about it. Right, this man had beat me with both pregnancies (and many times in between), and the last time, they took me out of the apartment, pregnant with my son, on a stretcher. We were both active duty and serving our country, but you didn't talk about things like that, so I hid the bruises didn't tell anyone. I got out to get away from him and he was kicked out with a Dishonorable Discharge, never saw him again, he never saw his children and he never contributed a dime to their support. They now are two beautiful, responsible, respectful, compassionate adults, who do their part to contribute to society and raise their families. But I was told to go and pray with that beast. So, I walked away from the religion I had been raised on and didn't look back. I am still hurt by what that priest said that day and even after all this time, I'm not sure I have forgiven him. I will probably need help on that one.But as I age, comes wisdom, comes new perspectives and new beliefs. I really don't think on that day or even today, that it really would be God's desire to have me go near that beast again having learned and know what I have now. A lot of that, I have gleaned from Dutch Sheets, his calming manner, his teachings and presentations. I have been listening to or watching him on TV for about 2 years now. He was doing Give Me 15, 7-days a week, but he just announced he will need to cut bak to 5-days a week because he is getting worn out with all of his other commitments. It is my intention to read more of his books (in fact I have another one in my cart right now) and I really hope he does another book reading session. You can draw so much more when the author tells the story he has written. If you ever have the chance to read a book along with the author, raise your hand, I don't think you will regret it, you will regret it more, if you don't.

Bible study
Currently reading this book as part of a Bible study and I’ve been very pleased with it so far it’s been a very easy book to read. The author breaks down the Bible verses for you that he’s using to describe in his chapters. I look forward to finishing it and seeing what else this author has to offer

Best book I’ve read in a long time!
I love the cover and size of the book. But, it is what is inside that is encouraging and motivating. I’ve changed how I pray, how I seek the heart of God.What a heart changer - for me. Thank you.

Uniquely insightful. Sweetly nuanced.
The title itself is a little happy shock. There’s pleasure in his company? Of course we know that, but Dutch illustrates how not only can we enjoy the company of the great creator, but oddly enough, that creator enjoys our company as well. I have always been blessed by Duchess ratings, and this one book is another one of those

Im so thankful for this book!
I grew up in a performance based Christian family. I never heard teaching on the cross, the blood, or who I am in Christ. I grew tired of all the pretense and manipulation, and, thankfully, discovered there are Bible teachers and leaders that are trustworthy. I believe transparency is the foundation of trusting others. What I love so much about this book is that Dutch Sheets is transparent in the way he shares. I laugh often when reading, and I love the personal illustrations he shares from his own life because I can relate to many of them! It’s such a blessing to see it walked out that God doesn’t require perfection, it’s not our performance but what Jesus already did for us. We can always receive grace in time of need.

Insightful deep truths written in a loving, conversational, witty manor.
Short chapters that easily fit into smaller time segments. Definitely recommend this to both seasoned and brand new believers. So good.
