Excellent flavor
Excellent flavor, unique quality. This is one of the best available chocolates and I have tasted numerous types. Most of the other brands leave undesired after taste or have little flavor. This bar is a celebration. It is also the best among the dark chocolates of the Peralus line of products. Downside: quite expensive for a bar of 50 grams however good it's only 50gr because once you taste it you can't stop.

very good
very good flavor, but not worth the price. the other bars Franco Pralus produces are just as good for less cost.

This is a great example of why the Mayans thought cacao was the Food of the Gods.
This is a great example of why the Mayans thought cacao was the Food of the Gods. Venezuelan chocolate has long been a favorite around our house but this is frankly the best I've ever had... very smooth long melt on the tongue.Chuao is a remote fishing village off the coast of Venezuela which produces some of the most sought after cocoa in the world. Access to the Criollo beans from Chuao has been restricted for many years because the small production was controlled by Amedei. Recent access to their production has allowed Pralus to produce the best 75% bar I've ever tasted. This is a long lasting deep rich creamy chocolate with berry overtones and a slight smoke from the dark roast. Where else an you buy the best in the world for $10?

best chocolate bar ever
best chocolate bar ive had in my life. the price seems crazy, but it's honestly worth it if you love chocolate. i paired with a slightly sweet chai and good god, it was marvelous.

Perhaps the best chocolate bar in the world.
Easily among the best 5 chocolate bars I have had the privilege to sample, and possessing one of these bars is a rare privilege. Conched perfectly to ensure a silky texture in the mouth, the deep, pure chocolate taste initially greets the tongue and soon melts into a wide bouquet of floral flavors highlighted by a faint tinge of citrus with a finish that lingers on the palette for hours, if one is willing to be so patient. Rarely is a chocolate so well understood by its maker as Pralus' Chuao.

From the Maker's Web Site.
Powerful nose, fruity, dried figs and preserved citrus fruit, full on the palate, bitter and slightly acidic. This chocolate is made from the famous «Nacional Ecuador» cocoa beans, also called Arriba. Sometimes compared to Criollo, the pods and the beans are larger and more tannic. Its aromatic profile makes it a must try for aficionados around the world. We source from an organic coop situated in Buena Fe Los Rios Province.Second bar, and I find the maker's description still apt. But am inclined to give it higher score. This really does stand side by side with Amedi's and Pacari's finest chocolate bars.
