I have very bad knees and need to hold on tightly to the banister. The bar in the front hits the ground preventing the wheels from working and around the corners of staircase the bag has tipped over spilling the top layer of clothes. It’s easier than trying to carry a laundry basket but it’s not as easy as I award hoping. **Q: Is it loud while rolling on a sidewalk? Are the wheels rubber and quiet?** A: It's very quiet when rolling on sidewalks. The wheels are made of plastic and rubber. The inner wheel(hub) is plastic however the outer wheel is soft rubber. That makes it very quiet when rolling on sidewalks. I use it to walk to my laundry room in my apartment complex. **Q: does it go downstairs too?** A: Yes, you have to push it in front of you and be careful not to step on the wheels. With all the stress of closing on an apartment and getting it ready, inevitably some of my items didn’t make it into moving boxes and I (foolishly) believed that since I was only moving a few blocks away I could just walk the remaining items over myself in the two days between moving day and when my lease was up. Dear readers, if I had not purchased this lovely little workhorse I would not have survived these past two days. It is listed as a laundry basket, but it is so much more than that. Here is a non-exhaustive list of everything I dragged down three streets and one avenue and up two flights of stairs, clocking a total of at least 15 miles: - Paintings, large and small - Actual hand weights, up to 10 pounds - Curtain rods, because I bought them and I wasn’t leaving them for my landlord - Multiple frozen steaks - A large jar of cold brew - Ceramic dishes wrapped carefully in curtains - A very heavy tool kit - Laundry This excellent cart did not break and did not complain despite all the abuse I put it through.
