Perfect what I wanted a coiled 4 pin flat connector cord for my trailer. No more worrying about the wiring dragging the ground or getting caught up in the safety chains. And it's a tight fit plugging it into truck which is good so it wont come unplugged so easily when making sharp turns. I am sure after a few years the plug will get worn out and be lose but by then I'll just buy another one.BUYER BE AWARE the 28 inch coiled cord option is way too short. If you want a coiled 4 pin cord for your utility you will need to go with the 40 inch option. As you can see in my picture 40 inch option is perfect for me. Granted it my original trailer wiring is close to end of the A frame. Depending on your trailer setup (wiring plug location) you may want to opt for the 72 inch coiled option. The 72 inch coiled o option should be great for any other wiring plug location without it dangling too low.

This seems like a very high quality, well constructed extension. However, it is falsely advertised. They say it’s a 5 foot extension. And there probably is 5 feet of wire. However, because it is coiled, it definitely will not teach 5 feet. In fact, the instructions in the package say the max extension length is 32 inches. So be warned, if you only need 32” then this is a great extension, but if you need more than that, this will not reach! Please stop advertising it as a 5’ extension of it doesn’t reach 5 feet!

Do not Buy. The 72" extension cord advertised shows it with 18 coils at 2" diameter. I receive a cord with 13 coils at 2" diameter that if you stretch it out to the maximum length it only reaches 65" and would put way too much pressure and pull on the cord to be useful. Description states" designed length 8' (useful length 6')" Not even close to 8' of wire with 6' useful length. Only 18 gage wire, should be minimum of 16 gage wire for trailer hookup. Contacted seller who lied and stated that the product went through an upgrade on December 10, 2021 and they made the coils larger in size, therefore same overall length as before. In August 15, 2021 product was described as 2" diameter coils. Product never was change to a larger coil. If you require anything close to 6' (72") in a extension cord this item will fall short. I noticed the seller just revised their description. Now pictures show 10 to 15 coils and 5" coil length not the previous 6" coil length with 18 coils. But did not change the 6' (72") length! Product I received is 13 coils, 4.5" coil length and only 65" when stretch to the absolute maximum length. Seller just refunded $10 to me for a credit on the item because it was not as it was advertised. Seller still should revise the add to reflect the actual usable length of their new cable to 5 feet as other reviewers have stated. Over all quality of the cable is satisfactory.

Although the advertised lengths are correct when the extension is pulled out that far it pulls on the plus pretty hard. It's the best cheap extension. The insulation is a hard vinyl instead of a soft rubber like expensive wires are, but the price is right. It has nice bend protectors on each end to prevent the insulation from cracking.

I had bought a different extension at a local parts store and the ground wire on the vehicle side was not part of the connector, it had a terminal end that needed to be permanently screwed into truck. I bought this one because the wires are in the connectors on both ends. It works great and is just the length I needed.

Nice and compact, easy to store in case you need it. The retractable cord doesn't pull so hard that the plugs disconnect but it keeps it out of the way.

I've had this setup a little over 6 weeks. Used the boat 4 times. Connection is already wearing out to the point I need to jiggle it till my lights work. And yes, it is in fact the connector causing the issue.

There is some coating on the wire making it almost impossible to separate each individual wire.This product needs to be able to separate the individual product in order to connect it to the existing wiring in your vehicle or trailer. This stuff sucks.The copper wire is OK, it solders up well.This is very difficult to work with. In my 50 years I have wired up 30:-40 vehicles and have never had trouble with the pigtails I have used until yesterday.I would not recommend to any one.

Seems well made BUT!!! it will NOT reach 6ft maybe 4.5 feet which will work on most trailers ... NOTE a huge improvement over a regular 4 wire connector DM.

strong molded plugs. I designed and built a "leaner" sidecar and needed to have a flexible electrical connection for running and brake light. This was excellent for my use.
