I know...Many of you out there were just like me...I am 'Old School' and still firmly believed the BEST way to clean my brand-new Braun razor was by painstakingly taking it apart; brushing, soaking, dipping, and trying to assemble all the little clicky places, points, bumps and tolerances back together without breaking something. WRONG! My Braun razor, which incidentally gives me a shave as close as any blade (the very first electric razor in my life to do so)came with this wonderful cleaning system cradle. After shaving, you drop the razor head down into its cradle, which contains the cleaning solution cartridge (THIS PRODUCT). The cradle has the Braun Cleaning Cartridge in the bottom. VERY easy to insert. The cradle has a series of lights on it telling you how much liquid is left in the cartridge and how clean your razor is at that point. You decide when to activate cleaning it by just pushing a button on the cradle. The Braun Refill Cartridge and cradle do ALL the work for you! No more taking apart, worrying about losing or breaking parts and tedious cleaning by hand! When the cartridge is low the cradle will indicate this too, and that is when you replace the old self-contained cartridge with a fresh Braun Refill! You can purchase these in a brick-and-mortar store I suppose, but I did not have much luck locally in my small town so always buy them in a two or three-pack through Amazon. I clean my Braun razor every Sunday so I don't forget, and the cartridge lasts me about three months, pretty good! During the cleaning cycle the razor is cleaned, sanitized and comes out smelling very pleasant and fresh. Do yourself a big favor - DON'T struggle any longer, modernize, and use your accompanying Braun cradle cleaning system with these wonderful cartridges. They do a terrific job and you can be cleaning your golf clubs or weapons in the time you use to spend cleaning your old razor! I am very glad I started using the Braun Cleaning System and refills, and you will be too!

These Braun cleaning cartridges definitely help preserve and lubricate my electric shaver, keeping it running smoothly. However, over the years they seem to last much less than they used to - the fluid evaporates faster or the cleaning cycles go through it quicker. One trick I've discovered: save the plastic seal piece that comes with each cartridge. Between uses, I seal it back up since I don't need to run cleaning cycles very often. It's a little annoying but helps extend the life of each refill significantly. The 4-count pack gives decent value, especially with my sealing trick. The cleaning solution does its job well - just wish the cartridges lasted as long as they used to. Good product that keeps your shaver performing well, just requires a bit of conservation strategy these days.

However, the cartridge doesn’t last long; I found myself needing to replace it every month or even sooner with regular use. Considering the price, it adds up quickly, making it an expensive maintenance cost over time. It’s convenient, but I wish it offered more value for the price. There are a number of cheaper knock offs of this product. We all want to save money. I am sure the ones I have tried on and off over the years have identical fluid and abstractly can clearn your razor properly. However, it seems only the original ones shown here from Braun are packaged in a way that the old fluid can be sealed when you remove it and replace it, so you can dispose of it properly. The gluid involved is deeply poisonous to humans and critters, and is best desposable like any hazardous waste. Another tip if you use these Braun electric razors, do change the blade assembly every couple months. They can be ordered. If the saving gets more difficult, the usual problem is the blade needs to be replace. They are available at a reasonable price. Once you make the change you will be surprised how immediate the improvement is, Thanks.
