Crochet Stitch Guide is a 'pocket size' instructional crochet book. It shows clear pictures of all designs, does not have step-by-step instructions and lacks graph charts. The pictures are in color, clear and large enough for any intermediate or experienced needle worker to identify individual stitches. The book is divided into stitch categories: clusters, textured stitches, picots, V-stitches, Special stitches (10 designs) that are not your every day stitches, shells, and misc. (13 designs) that include a nice variety for crochet inspiration. The book includes 2 pages that explain all abbreviations, symbols and general jargon.I am an experienced needle worker and I am very happy with this little book.

I've just downloaded the Kindle edition of this book, and am delighted. It holds a gold mine of interesting, pretty stitches, and is particularly good on lacy openwork ones (so bear that in mind if you're not into lattice-y projects, because you may find much of the content irrelevant). The instructions are in the standard crochet-abbreviation format (American terms) and include nice clear, e-reader enlargeable photos of finished swatches. Note that there are no step-by-step "how-to" illustrations or symbol diagrams; but the internet is full of useful stitch-tuition web pages & video clips for anyone needing help with the (very straightforward) pattern directions. Well worth its modest price.

This is a very nice book with bright color photos and directions. If you're a fan of lacy crochet you'll love this little book but I was hoping for more closed crochet stitch instructions so was a little disappointed. Compact well made book though.

This is a great book with illustrations and explanations for many stitches. It is well worth the cost, which is reasonable.

I have used it several times when looking for a new stitch to experiment with. Great directions for the stitches and chain multiples. A beginner could use this book as long as he/she can read a pattern. Definitely a good source of reference.

Bought for my daughter as a Christmas present. Sure she will love it.

Was not what I expected. Many of the stitches are the same ones just in different combinations but the directions are okay.

Very good book of crochet patterns and well explained.It is a small book and easily carried in tote or purse.I recommend this book even for the beginners as the stitch patterns are easy to learn.theresa
