Need to buy!
This cold brew maker is amazing, it’s easy to use and easy to clean. I thought the product was reasonably priced. Fits nicely in the fridge and the pitcher is an airtight seal so you can lay it on the side with no spilling! My one regret is not getting the bigger size! I go through my cold brew too fast and should’ve went for the 2qt option.

A dupe for KitchenAid Cold Brew Maker
I was scrolling for a great cold brew maker that wasn’t too pricey and stumbled upon this. I originally wanted the KitchenAid Cold Brew Maker but wasn’t totally convinced with the $90 price. This cold brew maker was definitely cheaper and got the job done. It’s an easy prep and you have cold brew in 24 hours. I usually prep it for the week and pour it into another bottle but you can use this bottle to hold your cold brew as well. Definitely worth it for cost and convenience. You’re saving money on the product itself and spending money on cold brew because now you can have it in the comfort of your home.

The coffee really does taste better! Beautiful pitcher, good instructions, keeps for a couple of weeks in the fridge.

Nice unit
This was my first cold brew coffee experience. I was pretty impressed. The flavor is pretty good and strong! I find I enjoy it better with a touch of oatmilk and I get about 3 full cups from the pitcher. It was easy enough to use and to clean… although I do wonder if the reusable filter would need to be replaced at some point or if that would even be possible. Note that it does take a lot of coffee to make those 3 cups!I would probably find this ideal if I could get a 4th cup out of this, although you do have the option to get a larger unit if you want a much larger “pot”. I also would have preferred it use a little less coffee per fill, as the tiny grinder I have gets quite a workout to get what I need.

Finally, a device that makes great cold brew
I'm a cold brew aficionado. I have tried several products to make my own cold brew rather than getting store-bought cold brew and they have all failed and have been returned. Until now. I have had the large Takeya cold brew maker for less than two weeks, but I can tell you, this one is a keeper. I have already made about 10 batches and I'm now having fun trying different coffees. Right now, I am trying 2 blends and comparing. My process is simple, I fill up the pot with filtered water to about an inch from the bottom of the white rim. I load up the filter with coffee ground coarse to the top of the filter. I attach the extension and then the lid, and slowly dunk the filter in the water. I tighten everything and swirl the water around for a minute or two to wet the coffee. Don't shake too hard or tip it around, well, unless you like grounds in your coffee.I leave the Takeya on the counter for the day, swirling it one in a while. At night, I place it in the refrigerator and the next morning I transfer to cold brew to another jar, clean up the Takeya and either make another batch right away or just put it away until the next time. Usually, I start another batch because it doesn't last long. The clean up is pretty quick. I dump most of the grounds directly in the garbage. I know some people use the grounds for other purposes, I don't, but I also don't put them in the garbage disposal. I then clean and dry all the parts with soap and water, rinse, dry and assemble. My observations:1- The extension is sometimes finicky to connect to the filter.2- I'm not sure how sturdy the actual filter fabric is and I treat it very cautiously. Thankfully, it's not an expensive unit and it's made of plastic so it shouldn't shatter.3- Sometimes find a small amount of residue at the bottom, but since I've only been swirling and not shaking, that seems to have mostly gone away. I have had batches with no residue whatsoever. Just gotta be diligent.4- It's actually pretty neat to see the coffee permeate the water over a few hours. I go for about 22-24 hours because I really like my coffee.Highly recommended. Make sure you start with good water and coarse coffee.Update June 2022. I have been using the device every day since I bought it. It's solid and has stood up well. I now brew the coffee for 48 hours. The first 24 hr sees the coffee maker sitting on the counter. It then goes in the fridge for the next 24 hrs. I use very coarse ground coffee from the supermarket. I've tried different roasts and types and I have settled on dark French roast. I fill the maker up to about an inch from the top, put in coffee to fill the basket up to the start of the extension. This works well for me.

So good I've purchased three
I first bought one for myself, then my girlfriend, then my dad. They all love it. Great product. Simple and easy to clean. I've been using mine daily for years with no issue.

I love this brewer and highly recommend it
This brewer/pitcher is easy to handle, does cold brew very well, and works better than others I had using more finely ground coffee.I love the pitcher size and ease of use. The airtight lid twists to open and close the pour spout which works well. It's tall so I keep it in the door of my refrigerator which has more room.

Super happy with this purchase!
Really happy that I bought this instead of using my French press! It cleans super easily in the dishwasher and produces liquid coffee gold.Just as an extra layer, I pour the concentrate into a separate 1L container with a funnel + coffee filter to get rid of the thin coffee particles, and then it’s good to go!

Good system still needs straining
I like this system. I use it every week to make my cold brew. The fine mesh keeps most of the coffee grounds and other sediment out of the brew. Even when using freshly ground course grain coffee from Starbucks, there is still sediment at the bottom of the container.Once I’ve brewed my coffee, I always strain it with a paper coffee liner. I strongly recommend you do this!
