I had to replace a plastic version with quick release that came with one of those drop sprinkler kits. That cracked. This one is very tight and with blue thread tape doesn't leak at all. A lot sturdier and leak free than plastic versions. Used every day with my battery operated sprinkler timer.

Solid product. I used it to convert my spigot to a 1/4-in drip irrigation. The brass coupling is strong, easy to manipulate, and didn't leak on the first go round.A happy Gardener who strongly recommends.

We live in the second driest state in the US. In the Summer, humidity soars to about 25%. sWe bought our home in the 70's and still have and evaporative cooler that is ducted into all the upstairs rooms. Many, many years ago we had a leak in the copper tubing that ran from the water heater area into the attic. Removed the tubing and have run it outside ever since. The homenote US Standard Faucet Adapter, 3/4'' to 1/4'' Hose Adapter is the perfect connection for my purpose. It is solid and well made and needs no compression fittings. We have a hose pipe leaving the front of the house, attach a splitter, one for the hose and one for the cooler using the Adapter and viola, works perfect. (Over the years have made many improvements, including the ducting of our evaporative cooler, but have never even considered air conditioning, even had a furnace attached humidifier for a few years, but love our system. The only downside is that some insurance companies will not insure a house with an evaporative cooler.

Stands up to hard use

If you have an evaporative cooler (aka swamp cooler), this device is perfect! I’ve had a swamp cooler for 16 years and this is the first time I have had such an EASY connection for the water line. No leaks—not a drop! So much easier to install than some of the weird brass adapters you get at the big box stores. I highly highly recommend.

Used to drain a dehumidifier outside. It didn't leak, but the dehumidifier leaked freon.
