Reliable and relatively easy to set up
The smart plugs are great for the Apple HomeKit and work really well. The range is pretty good too with WiFi as I have one at the bottom of the garden in the summer house which operates the pond on a timer I set through Apple HomeHub. The set up was a bit temperamental. It’s easy through the manufacturers own app but Apple... well, it’s Apple being Apple with all things non-Apple! It either connects first time or takes two or three attempts. Once connected though, it’s really stable and hasn’t lost a connection yet which is great when I forget to turn on the fan when I’m cycling indoors... “hey Siri, turn on gym fan” and voila! I’m transformed from looking like a raging killer tomato to a cardiovascular blush! They are well worth the money but they are quite chunky so bear that in mind when you are thinking of where to put them.

Cheap and Easy!
These smart plugs are amazingly good value. A fraction of the cost of the Elgato ones and they work just as well. Easy to setup with Apple HomeKit (I didn’t even download the Meross app). Took literally 30 seconds from taking it out of the box to having it set up.The only thing missing is the energy monitor function that you get with Elgato, but for many applications nobody really uses that anyway. There may be some high power appliances that you want to be able to monitor but if you’re just hooking it up to some lights then is it really worth paying 4 times as much to be able to see how much power those little bulbs are using? The only downside is that they are slightly too wide to plug two in to adjacent sockets on a double socket adapter, but so are the Elgato ones. All in all I have to say that these plugs represent amazing value for money.

Good quality, easy to set up
Bought a pack of two and had these just short of a month, and find them great for turning your appliances on & off, especially if the socket isn't easy to get at. I'm only using for low wattage appliances, not sure if they're suitable for high power gobbling appliances. I chose this brand as they're compatible with Apple's HomeKit (so you can use Siri), and the setting up with both the Meross app and HomeKit app is simple and quick. They look and feel well made, and found them to work perfectly so far, but not really used the remote access away from home. If you want to use HomeKit you have to set up your iPad as a home hub and leave it at home and plugged in, so think I'll be using the Meross app if I want a remote connection. It's useful there is a light on the plug so you can see at a glance whether it's on or off without having to open the app, and it can be turned on or off using the switch on the plug rather than the app if you're close by.My only niggle is the size. They're a bit wider than the standard UK plug, and so long as you have a single socket or double one/extension where the next socket isn't being used, that's fine. I have since purchased a pack of two of the Mini Meross Smart Plugs, which are the same width as the standard UK plug, and as with the larger model have an indicator light and switch, and do prefer these of the two models. Just for the large size, they lose a star for me, but do like them.

I just shout at my house and things happen!
We now have 4 of these in the house (2 new, 2 over 6 months, no reliability problems so far) running the kettle in the kitchen, a bedside lamp upstairs, a lamp that serves as the main light in the living room most evenings and a spare that unless I think of something in the mean time will probably do seasonal duty on (indoor) Christmas tree lights. I've got the meross app on my phone but that was only really used for setting up (under 5 minutes per device and no problems despite having a fairly complex home network set up) and do the control via google home (we've got 3 chromecasts, 2 google phones and a google home hub in the house so it made sense to keep it all in one ecosystem) - integration with that was very easy, one the device is named in the meross app open the home app and it pops up as a new device with that name and asks you what room you want to assign it to.We've set up some very useful commands like saying "goodnight" turns off the living room lamp at the same time as turning on the upstairs one so no juggling with lightswitches if your taking the laundry basket up at the same time and the kettle turns on with our alarms (from the phones) in the morning so by the time we've got downstairs its boiled and ready to make the first cup of tea of the day.Theyve been very simple to use- my other half isnt tech savy and shes had no problem using them daily. The only glitch we've had is that one of them seemed to get confused by me resetting the router which had frozen while the smart plug was on, but that was just a matter of turning it off and on again at the wall and has only happened once I think (it would only really become a problem if you were to install the smart plug somewhere really inaccessible)Presuming the other products work the same I will definitely be incorporating more meross devices into my home automation in future.

worked well, and easy(ish) to set up
I purchased this for one purpose. For reasons I wont go into, our wifi router is currently installed in my son's bedroom, and on a couple of occasions, I had issues with internet connectivity during then night. (I work an on-call rota) I wanted to be able to power off and power on the router remotely, and the wifi repeater (Sky Q Mini box) that is installed downstairs. The device looks and feels well made. As I don't have an Alexa or Google Home (Don't want those organisations to be listening to me!) and having a lot of Apple devices, I needed something I could set up with HomeKit.After a false start (I installed using the app rather than using apple home, and ended up having to delete it) which also needed me to reboot my iphone, I was able to setup both plugs and test them.My main fear was that once the wifi router was powered off, the plug would lose connectivity, so I wouldn't be able to power on. Thankfully, the plug reconnected to the wifi repeater after about 30 secs, and I could power on again.Works a treat!
