Honestly, truly a lifesaver
My 98 yr old grandmother was stirring in the middle of the night and trying to get out of her bed. She would try to climb over the bed railing to get out of bed, even though she is unable to walk. This, along with a bed alarm, gave me enough piece of mind to sleep myself, knowing that she can't get out of this easily to endanger her life. She doesn't seem to mind it being on her, as I always leave about 3 inches of excess between her and the belt after it is fastened. it is just there to discourage her from trying to crawl out, and it does exactly that. She tries to swing her leg out, is unable to do so, and then gives up.It is important to note that she is already mostly bed bound and fully incontenent, so there is no reason for her to get out of bed at night. One thing to note is that you must check the belt by tugging it after fastening it. a few times it didn't latch all the way or was stuck on a blanket and did not fully close. click it, tug it, and then tuck in the clasp in between the mattresses by pulling the strap through. the blue belt pad is not connected to the belt itself, so you can position it over their lap after the clasp is out of reach. The most dangerous thing for the elderly is a fall, and this device could potentially save their lives if used correctly.

Life saver
I bought this for my wife who has Alzheimer’s disease and moves around in her bed a lot during the night. Many has been the times when I wake up to find her twisted around in bed but she has never fallen out. It isn’t what you dream about having to do but I really feel this has saved her from a very serious injury. I have another one I use to keep her from falling or drooping over too much when she is sitting upright in a chair.

Bed restraint
Bought this for mm Mom who is on hospice care. She has fallen from hospital bed 3 times so this was what we needed for her safety. Adjustable. fits well.

Doesn’t stay buckled/fastened
Seemed really great at first. But the buckle does not hold. With very little pulling, it comes undone. The whole reason I bought this was to keep my mom in her bed so she didn’t get out and wander in the house at night and fall or fall getting out of bed. I thought this would be better than the mind that goes around you but I would not purchase this again unless you are right there with the person. They cannot be left unattended with this device.

It’s ok
It was ok. My elderly daddy had a way to get out of it. But it’s did the job for most part giving me time to catch him before he falls

Have a strong man to lift the mattress when you want to change the sheets?
Well, it works OK, but not if you have a regular mattress and don't have a strong man to lift it up so you can unbuckle it to change your sheets.
