Excellent how to do book on Scrapbooking
I am so glad to find a book that actually shows you how to do different techniques. Many I have seen just show completed page layouts without any instructions. If I just wanted ideas, fine, but I want to know how to do what I see.Clear Photos of step-by-step instructions. Tea bag and iris folding are two methods I look forward to trying, along with making album covers. Sewing and working with fabrics is covered and there is a nice section on digital scrapbooking which has parts on using a scanner for special effects and improving your shots in both black and white and in color. Color tinting black and white photos is also shown. This is just the tip of the iceberg.I bought this book at a good will store and the previous owner had torn out eight pages I need. I may buy another copy on Amazon, because I really love this book.

Well varied with some fresh ideas.
I'm not one to waste money on books that I'll use infrequently. This book is well organized with a easy to follow index, and presents a range of easy to moderately advanced new ideas and some fresh takes on older concepts. Because of it's primarily simplistic approach most pages/cards can be completed with relative quickness. The majority of ideas can be adjusted to work with the equipment you have on hand with a little imagination. There are full color pics on how to use pretty much everything. Examples and expanations are provided for your standard scrapbooking/cardmaking materials through to fabrics, wires, clay, etc as well as some info on digital scrapbooking.Beyond this are chapters on how to get great pics from your camera, which colors compliment others, how to make panoramas, transfer photos, create pop-outs, use metal foils, piercing, covering corkboards, etc. All of this is followed by a nice selection of examples and instruction for over a hundred pages of projects ranging from occasions to children to seasons to whatever. The examples may require you to have some simple equipment that brand spanking new, fresh outta the gate scrappers may not have. If you've been scrapping for even 6 months, you've probably either obtained this equipment or you have access to it.I'd rate this as "as good or better than most". In truth, I probably could have given it a 5 Star for it's overall value except that there was a spot or two that I felt a new scrapper might have difficulty with.
