I needed a way to store a key in case of an emergency. This looked perfect for my yard, so I snagged one up. The overall appearance looks fairly life-like, but I have lava rocks in my flower beds, O I took some brown, black, and dark red spray paint and gave it a slight touch up, filled my a light dusting of lava rock powder while the paint was still wet. You can't tell the difference between this and a real lava rock. Blends perfectly and only I know where it's located. Highly recommend!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This looks good and had almost 4 stars. However I could not get the bottom compartment to open. It did not budge, so I returned it. This was a replacement for the same one I had already bought but became broken when a child played with it. The bottom slide would not go back into place. Now I am going with a different brand.

The sliding panel can be difficult to open, but I guess it does ensure a better weather seal. It matches the surrounding landscape perfectly and is not seen to be out of place. Creates a nice, secure, hidden site for extra key storage.

This product looks like a rock and is weighted so it won't blow away. It has ample room for a key.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The 1st one ordered could not be opened at all. It seems it was manufactured to remain sealed. The replacement was easy, quick and hassle free. However, it had the opposite issue: it won't stay closed. The sliding part slides open as soon as you pull your hand away and does won't stay closed on it's own. It doesn't look real and feels flimsy. I kept it though, just had to use tape to keep it closed, and covered it with foliage to mask it. Otherwise it's obviously a fake rock and easily spotted if its among/next to any nearby real rocks. Would not recommend, but if you do purchase it, be ready to be mildly disappointed visually, with its flimsy manufacturing, and its poor functionality.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to leave a positive review on this product. However, it is fragile. I put my key inside. But I had to set it on the counter because, I had to go deal with something else. It fell off the counter and broke as you can see in the video and pictures. My counter is also not very high up. So it was a short fall. I will say however, it is affordable. It looks kind of real. But when you get close enough you can tell that it's not a real rock. When I tried to open it initially, it was not easy to open. But after finally getting it open, it was easy to open and close. As for how secure it is, I honestly cannot tell you that. Because I did not have it long enough to really tell whether or not people could tell it apart from the other rocks around my home. I may try buying another. But I also may try looking at a different brand. I haven't decided yet.
