If people read about the product you would know it is not recommended for carpets BUT we did use it on carpets-you just have to make sure you have the wheels pointing in the right direction and off you go. We have large, three seater with two motors for recliners and with this equipment plus two pieces of wood (one for each corner)-you raise the height to get one under then use it to raise to required height for wheels and off you go. It wasn't easy but we did it and in fact was so impressed after the first sofa moved we moved the second. Read about it first then use it.
