Quality product
I have had other sprayers from big box stores, and they are not the same quality.

Few annoyances
Pros:1) Translucent body. You can see how much fluid is inside the cylinder. There are markings on outside body (both in 0.5 gallon and 2 liter increments) to see how full it is2) It has two small holes on opposite sides of its neck which can be used with a clamp and shoulder strap to hang it on your shoulder (I bought two small clamps which easily go through the holes and a shoulder strap from local hardware store). It's a big help because with 3 gallons of fluid it will become heavy to carry in hands3) Nozzle can be adjusted from fine spray to pointed stream. Now the cons (more like annoyances and the reason why I gave it 3 stars)1) When I pumped it, I could hear hissing sound of leaking air. Upon inspection I figured discharge assembly (where it connects to tank adapter) was missing rubber gas kit. I searched through packaging carefully but did not find any. Had to run to local hardware store, found correct size gas kit, installed it and pumped it little bit again. No sound this time, so this issue was resolved.2) Instructions on where to put tool holder on tank adapter are not clear. Photos on instruction manual are some what small to figure this out. It took some trial and error before I figured where to put it. If you put it between tank body and tank adapter, cylinder will lose pressure quickly. You have to put it around the neck of cylinder adapter (not under the base of adapter). If you can live with above mentioned annoyances, then don't hesitate to buy it. I did not like wasting my time fixing it; I would rather have used that time to spray my yard.I have not yet used it (tested it quickly only with some water), so not sure how long lasting it will be. I will update my review once I have used it several times.

Great Little Sprayer
As a home owner, I have owned many cheap sprayers over the years purchased from local home supply stores. They all seem to be short lived as they are not made well. This Chapin model is outstanding. The spray wand is made of brass so it does not flop around when it is pointed at a weed. I use it exclusively with weed killer to get rid of weeds around shrubs. The deflector does a great job of preventing collateral damage to shrubs and plants. The pump is very efficient and the 1 gallon size is just right for spraying around the foundation and yard. One thing I wish it had is a hanger. However, I solved the problem with a length of #12 insulated copper wire I had in the garage. Just make a couple of small loops then wrap them around the neck of the sprayer. One serves as a hanger and the other holds the spray wand. The sprayer is pricey but you get what you pay for and it should last longer than the cheap ones.

What a disappointing product from Chapin
I've been buying Chapin sprayers for more than 3 decades. For both home and commercial use, and have been, with very few minor exceptions, quite pleased with their products.I bought this sprayer as a (upgraded) version of the many junky Round up models that rarely survive from season to season. I don't believe I had unreasonable expectations, but at twice the price, a good quality light sprayer, ya know?I ordered the 3 gallon model. The one I received was a match for the one pictured. It was a bit top heavy. The handle and trigger was small, really small(maybe 60% of the mentioned Roundup sprayer) The wand was very lite (once again, small diameter) and it wobbled. It assembled normally and I filled it with glyphosate. I pumped on it and it didn't spray. I pumped again and listened. Air was leaking profusely. I removed and recrewed the pressure valve, and tightened it up. Same result. I called Chapin and told them I had a bad valve. They were cool and sent me one a month later(ug).I unboxed it and went to install it and (ug), wrong valve, Needing to spray, I got a pvc plug and defeated it. I made a mental note to not over pressurize it. I pumped it up, nothing. I rechecked the pump and repeated the process. Same result. Being top heavy, the cannister fell over, and being old and slow, by the time I stood it upright, I had lost 1/3 gallon of spray. Emptying the spray into a bucket, I pumped it up a lot. On the side of the neck, right over the pressure valve, the pump neck is warped. I called Chapin for replacement parts. They sent them, 3 weeks later. Wrong parts. Another call, and they sent me a new sprayer. This time however, they took an under engineered product, and further under-engineered it more. The hole in the neck is now 70% of the size of the other one, making it not only top heavy but hard to fill(you have to set the sprayer in a 5 gallon bucket to keep it from falling over). The pick up tube is smaller.Okay, what the heck, spraying season is almost over, why not. So fill it I did. I put 3 gallons in it and went to town. Heh, new problem. When you twist the handle to lock it and start walking, the locking mechanism cant hold the weight...it won't support more that one gallon without falling out. So I'd walk a little, put the can down, spray, repeat. But it did hold pressure. By the time I had sprayed 2 gallons, the wobbling of the wand increased. Bad enough, but where the brass tube connects to the trigger mechanism started dripping, like a cup every quart. So I had grass killer dribbling all over when it shouldn't be. Yay!called Chapin again. This time, I got the woman I had gotten like my second call and she had no sense of humor. "What do you want us to do?", with a tone. I want a sprayer that works. I will box up all these parts and ship them to you at my cost. I'm not trying to take advantage of youAfter much accusational tone. She talked to her supervisor. "Were sending you a sprayer. Don't call us again. Don't call us again. Don't call us again."They have obviously changed manufacturing plants, deep in the heart of china. I really liked this company and have spent many hundreds on them. But I don't know about buying a product from them without holding it in my hand first, like we have to over the net.I would not, under any circumstances recommend this sprayer.I got my new (different model)sprayer in less than 2 weeks and am pleased.

Best sprayer ever
I purchased this pump sprayer to replace one that quit working, and this sprayer works far better than the old one I had in the past. It is easy to pump up and takes very little effort to do so. Very well made, and user friendly. Great purchase!

Works Perfect - Good Quality
Read some reviews which stated the quality was not up to par. Wrong. Product is good quality. Nozzles work as they should with no clogging. I like the pressure valve. Other brands pressure value is not an option. Very satisfied with the product.

Great Sprayer
I use this sprayer for a special applications, homemade compost tea fertilizer. Used it 5 times already. Easy to use, great size. Convenient continuous spray lock to save your hand strength. I make sure to use cheesecloth to prevent the large particles from entering the tank and then I don't use the included filter and worry about it clogging. Other uses wouldn't need this extra step but this is the reason I have it. The sprayer is easy to clean also. I see this heavy duty pump sprayer being useful for all spraying applications and I would highly recommend it because it looks like it is built to last.
