Update:After contacting customer service about the issue they went above and beyond and replaced it 6 months after purchase (it was a Christmas present and this was the 2nd time we were able to use it). The new one arrived in perfect condition and no glue. We are back to being happy with this purchase.Original:Bought this paddle for my fiancée for a Christmas present. We opened it and thr bag had "sticky adhesive" all over it inside. We assumed it was the bag. Today we used the paddle for the 2nd time and the handle fell off revealing the source of the sticky mess...the freaking handle! For $75 I expected it to last longer than one paddle..

I lost my old paddle when I was floating and resting after a long paddle. All black paddle is not a good idea. I bought this one and as other sellers mention I can go much faster with it. Easier to turn too. I go in a lake, that is windy and wavy often, and I have been able to ride a boat wave for a minute with this thing. Some say it doesn't have markings for what position to put the handle, this is incorrect. Like my former paddle it has a very small arrow that should be lined up with the white line that goes down the length of the handle, and has the measurements of height on it. The locking mechanisms work well. Just have to tighten the allen wrench so that you can get the paddle together and off easily while keeping it tight enough so that the paddle stays together. I paddle hard and have had no issues. This seems standard like with other paddles.The storage bag is well made. I have used this paddle probably about 7 times this summer.

I love the weight and the ease of this paddle. The only complaint I have is that the handle portion tends to spin in the clamp. Not a deal breaker, but can be bothersome.

Nice bag for travel and protection and an easy to assemble 3 piece paddle.You gotta spend a lot more money to get a carbon blade.So that makes this a terrific value.

It was about time I replaced the stock paddle that came with my SUP so I decided to get the carbon handle version of this one. It comes in three pieces, is light, sturdy, and easy to paddle with. It floats well and does everything you can ask for in a paddle. I'm docking it a star because the top camp closure on my paddle is loose, so the grip tends to rotate around. This could be easily fixed by adding some tape to the handle tube, also the clamp on the lower section is kind of clunky and depending on how long your arms are and where you choke up on the paddle, it might interfere with your grip as you're going from side to side

The anti twist clamp isn't true anti twist, but other than that this paddle is pretty darn good. I've tried a few in this price range and this one by far has been the highest quality. Some other brands do some weird things to cut costs even though they're priced higher than this one. For example, several others I've tried use a flimsy plastic collar to clamp the handle just to save a few inches of carbon fiber, while this paddle clamps the shaft itself to the handle for a much more robust connection with less flex.After being disappointed by a few others I'm back to buy a second one of these for my other board.

I wanted to love this paddle as it was best bang for your buck, and for most part would be a great paddle. The issue is the friction clamp that hold handle in place does not hold, so the handle tends to spin, causing you to waste energy on your stroke. Very problematic for any kind of long distance paddle. I have tried to tighten and adjust the screws, but that didn't work either. The only solution I found was to take a tiny sliver of plastic and jam it in to the 2 connection points to create more pressure when friction clamp is closed, issue with this , is then you can't adjust the paddle for other paddlers and it no longer fits in the travel bag.

I've been stand up paddling for over 8 years and will usually do at least 3 miles when I go out. I love the lightweight and sturdiness of this paddle. The curved blade is very efficient. My issue with this paddle is the top assembly point interferes with my hand placement. I've tried several different lengths on the top third of the paddle but cannot find one that the assembly knuckle is not in my way.

This paddle is awesome. Perfect size. No interference with hands and clamps. Just check tightness of 3 screws, adjust and go.super quality for the price. A big step up from paddle supplied with board. Looks and performs fantastic.Case is a Bonus and good quality as well. May purchase another for wife.

Works amazing! Awesome for small cars rather than the 2 pieces it fits in our trunk. Highly recommend.

It’s pretty flimsyAnd worst of all, it twists at the top because of 2 design flaws: it’s just a friction lock for adjusting height and the pieces fit circle in circle, allowing f them to rotate.(I tried manually tightening the screws, only helped the twisting briefly)Don’t buy - I’ll be getting a different one
