This is a great peeler for fruit, not so good for harder vegetables.When we first received this peeler I thought the design was awesome. It was very convenient to have the blades turn around and be concealed. I have a 21 month old that loves to get things out of the utensil drawer and with the blade being sharp on this it is nice that she can't get cut on it.When my wife tried to use this on potatoes and carrots though she had a very difficult time. First, the blades rotate too much. When trying to peel a potato it was hard to get the leverage needed to take the peel off the potato without gouging it. the same happened with the carrots. I don't know if it is the edge being serrated, or that the blade tips back and forth to a very steep angle that made it the most difficult.When we used it on fruit though it worked very well. I used it to peel apples and pears. It was very nice to have a serrated peeling blade for the apples as a straight blade tends to slide on the skin. With the pears the serrated edge was critical as the flesh of the pear is so much softer than an apple or vegetables. When I have tried to use a straight blade peeler on softer fruit it nearly mashes it without actually taking the peel off. This peeler though worked like a charm for softer fruit. I am looking forward to summer so that I can try it on peaches and plums.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my completely honest review.

I was super excited to get a new peeler. I was even more excited because its a cute little kitchen gadget. This 3 in 1 peeler fits perfectly in my hand. It is on the smaller side but i like that because it does not take up a lot of room in my drawer. So far I have only used the peeler side and I love it!It is super easy to use.It is not too difficult to open. I would recommend that you clean after using it or it will become more difficult to clean the longer it sits. I have used this peeler on many things such as potatoes and carrots and apples. Ive also done cucumbers and zucchini.It comes in handy. Especially being able to put the blades away. I have a little one who likes to get into the drawers so with the blades being able to fold away it makes me feel safer

I thought this would be bigger than my entire hand, something that would sit on the counter top, bu it fits in my palm. Easy enough to use and certainly easier than shredding a carrot with a chefs knife. I do wish that one of the blades was smooth like on a traditional peeler but they both have a serrated edge and one has pokey teeth on one side for "julienne" style. I would make sure to rinse immediately or cleaning it will be a witch because of how it is put together. I am giving 3 stars because it is advertised as a peeler with no peeler blade and the blades are very hard to pull out and flip around. This is actually a pretty neat little kitchen gadget. I have owned several veggie peelers in the last several years. Every time they either do not peel well, or they end up breaking or rusting. The last 1 I purchased had very high reviews. I treated it with kid gloves and hand washed and dried it, and it still rusted in a short amount of time.I decided to give this 1 a try. I bought it mainly for the peeler feature, but I was pleased that it also can grate/shred. When it arrived it was small than I expected. Though, in all fairness, that is a good thing because it takes up less drawer space in my kitchen. One of the sides was very easy to pull out and flip over for use. The other 1 did stick a little, but after a few tried it did seem to loosed up and work more smoothly and easily.So, far this works fine as intended. I cannot really speak for longevity at this point, but for now I am quite pleased for what it is. I love that the blades can be folded in for storage and safety. I do not have to worry about anybody cutting themselves by accident when they reach into the drawer trying to find a kitchen tool. Storage is safe and a space saver. This is great for people like me with limited kitchen storage space and it would work great for camping.I received this item at a free or reduced rate in exchange for my honest review.
