2pk Clear Glue Spots | Balloon Sticky Dots Removable & Mess-Free | Adhesive Dots for Crafts, Decorations & More

I collect diecast model cars and wanted something to stop the cars moving around inside there display boxes, so I purchased some packs of glue spots. The other day I want to swap one of the cars in its display box with a new car, when I took it off its base I found the so-called removable and mess-free glue spots under the wheels have gone all oily and have become extremally hard to remove without leaving a mess. Not happy at all as many of my models are worth a lot of money.

I disliked the fact that six glue spots could not hold a Piece of card 15 x 8 cms. It fell off the wall four times after 15-20 mins.I did like the fact that it didn’t leave a mark!

I tried sticking a fairy lights battery pack to a freshly painted wall and it wouldn't hold. I also tried sticking a flag to the freshly painted wall, didn't hold it. The dots stuck to the wall no problem though and are not so easy to get off. My walls looks dirty now. Might be fine to use as feet to stop things sliding on a horizontal surface, but I haven't tried that so not sure.

Says ideal for balloons, brought them specifically to stick balloons to the ceiling. However says on the packaging do not use on painted or varnished surfaces even though they say no mess on the description online. Very annoying.
