Are the handles coated or just black metal

I didn't buy the black, I bought the multi color stainless steel one. Says it can be sterilized without rusting. I believe it's just painted black.

This may be a dumb question, do these close? I know some you can move the piece between and the close

No it doesn't the two metal pieces in the middle keeping them open don't move unless you unscrew them from the cutters.

What size is the jaw?? Full, 1/2 etc

I would say about 1/2 inch to a 3/4 of an inch.
