Simply amazing
This set is great. This set really does a excellent job of showcasing Mr Withers talent. It has the well known songs but also the ones unknown to me. It shows the multi level thinking that he was blessed with and used to create such great music. His work can hit you on so many levels and really pull emotion from you. If you want a deep cross section get this set.

Incomplete Collection
I purchased this set to fill in some gaps. Some of Bill Withers Columbia era cd's are unobtainable or too expensive, so I opted for this compilation. I finally have "Oh Yeah" and "Don't That Make It Better" in my collection, but "Just The Two Of Us", a major hit, is missing. My other observation is that the sonic quality of many tracks (especially more modern ones from the late 70's/80's), is mediocre. Some of the tracks sound like they came from inferior masters. I owned all this music on vinyl and it was clear, punchy production...now it sounds lifeless. Sony thinks it's okay to ripoff consumers. This attitude only drives people to get their music for free, esp if they can't get quality for their hard earned money.
