The Chaldean Liturgy: At the Gate of God

A splendid book that in clear terms, explains the significance and history of the Chaldo-Assyrian liturgy.
The Chaldean sacred liturgy is one of the most fascinating and marvelous that Christianity has. This book proves why. Along with the liturgy itself, there is a short but concise history and background of Chaldo-Assyrian Christianity and its observances/liturgies. Another great feature are the pictures throughout the book. The only disappointment of this book is its lack of Aramaic. It would of been lovely to see prayers and liturgies in their Aramaic form. The Chaldean Church is unfortunately neglected far too often and resources concerning Chaldo-Assyrian is rather scarce. Thanks to this book and other works by the authors, the culture and beliefs of the Chaldean Assyrians are now in secure hands.

Beautiful and well research and structured study of the Chaldean Liturgy, from a historical and analytical study of the Anaphora of Addai and Mari, as well as all of the sacraments.Well done Bishop Dr. Sarhad Jammo. You are truly a scholar for all people and especially for Chaldeans, the native people of Mesopotamia
