are they good protection for the heels

i use them every night to protect my heels, they seem to do the job well enough, I like them better then the old egg crate version they use to use. They are softer with the sheep skin and seem to protect the heel fine for me. But my is a before there are problems thing. I have had ulcers in the past, (I am diabetic) and seem to need to sleep in the heel protectors, when I go without them for a few days my legs and heel start a familiar soreness that tells me to put them back on ASAP. So I know they make a big differences. I do not ever want to go back to the days before I wore protection on heels and had a huge sore on my left heel. I am not sure if this answers your question or not, basically I like them better than the old egg crate ones.

Can they be used for the elbows?

Ok, just tested it for you. The elbow is a perfect fit with no modifications. Great idea!

can they be worn inside shoes

No, I would not wear them in shoes, would need shoes much larger than your size.

Can be used to protect ulcer on heel

In our case it doesn't stay on all night...when on,it is great.
