Some really fine articles that advance our knowledge about the institutionalization of ethnography in corporate environments. Chad Maxwell's piece about multi method data prospects was particular interesting for me. Some discussions seemed overly familiar, i.e., discussions of design ethnography, but perhaps will not be to others. The papers do a good job of attacking the issues corporate ethnography faces from a reflexive stance in general, i.e., insider outsider perspectives; retrospective prospective perspectives, but I felt that their could have been great engagement with the now vast literature in consumption studies that should provide fodder for those corporate ethnographers who are engaged with customer facing firms or customer facing problems. There is no shortage of these, yet the collection is slanted towards the intra-firm view of corporate ethnography.
