If you regret missing out in getting the original release from 1977/78, this is the next best thing. This is the best toy ever made of Voltes V to date, hands down. From the size, cartoon accuracy, accessories, playability, it checks all the boxes.Sounds perfect right? Not quite. The glaring slots on his “biceps” stand out too much (had to get a third party “mod” to fix this). The magnets on The Lander vehicle while adequate, could be a lot stronger or at least offer an external locking system. The instructions could be a bit more detailed (I’m looking at you, Frigate hips). Also a set of stickers as a nod to the original toy would have been greatly appreciated for us nostalgic fans.All in all the cons don’t take away much at all from how fantastic this toy is. I really hope Bandai makes more for the true fans who are still on the hunt for this.

The packaging is excellent! I am so happy with my first ever Voltes V; I've been longing to have one when I was still young:) It brings back childhood memories and friendships. Thank you Tamashii Nations, and Amazon!

Amazing figure! A must have for all Voltes V fans! anime accurate details but I wish the Bandai engineer design team covered the shoulder slit on the volt bomber.

This is the ultimate Voltes V robot to own, right after the original Popy and the other Bandai releases. Attention to detail on the 5 Voltes jets is nothing short of amazing. The music and sound effect gimmicks are perfect! What more could you ask for?I guess the only negative is the amount of die cast on the tobot is less than what I’ve expected. And that slit on his upper arms for the Volt Bomber “wings” is a bit of an eyesore when in Voltes V robot mode.If you’re a Voltes V super fan, make sure you grab this. This won’t last long at this price.

「クラッシャーなら話は別だ」「けっこうな手がかりだぜバード！」……だから違うって。箱を見て、まさに設定どおりのボルテスの写真があったので「ハァ？」と思ったのが第一印象。コンVは成田マキホさんの原案からいろいろあって最終的に安彦良和さんとスタジオぬえがデザインをまとめたという経緯があり、だからなのか、やっぱりカッコいいんですよ！対してボルテスは、申し訳ないけど……コンVのときの創映社→日本サンライズの暴走っぷりにポピーと東映から「今度はデザインを変えないように」と釘を刺されたので、よく言えばオモチャ通り、悪く言えばアニメの設定に落とし込み切れていない。そんなこんなで多少の嫌な予感がしつつ、年末のこんなときに、またボルトインのために多くの時間を割かなければいけないのか？という思いもあり……。とりあえずはボルトインしてみようと。健一は1号、峰くんは2号、大二郎は3号、日吉は4号、めぐみは5号、コックピットを仕込んで、レッツ！ボルト！イン！うーん……ボルトクルーザーの変形が……あまりにロボット寄りになっているのが造形的に嫌だなあと思いながらも、無印の超合金魂までやっていた、アニメの変形をそのままオモチャにするやり方だと、頭部が変形状態のままロックできないので仕方ないのか？と、まあ、ここは我慢。ボルトボンバーは……ほぼ無印と同じか。ボルトパンザー……無印がキャタピラぶらぶらな感じだったものがちゃんとロックできるようになったのはよい。しかし操縦席部分を引っ張り出すのが大変。後ろ（とはつまりボンバーの入る穴）から指を突っ込んで押し出すのが手っ取り早い。ボルトフリゲート……やっぱりコックピットは収納することになるのか。一応パンザーとのジョイントをロックするために腰を一回展開させるのは、これは許容範囲。ボルトランダー……何の苦もなく変形できる。そして、あっさりと接合ができる。そのまま立ってポーズがつけられる。実はここは大事なところで、無印のコンVはグランダッシャーなんていうギミックを可能にした結果足首のロックが甘くなり、何かあるたびに前に倒れる始末。無印ボルテスもいろいろなところがぶらぶらしている。それではというので改良を加えた結果が出たのがDXのコンVだと思うのだが、これはいろいろな可動部分がガチガチで、コンバインさせるのに平気で10分単位の時間を要するという。無理やりやったら壊しそうだからどうしても慎重にならざるを得ないし。という視点からするとDXのボルテスはほぼ満点に近い合体のさせやすさと、合体後の各部の固定のしやすさ。さすがはラ・ゴー……いや、健一の親父さんだ！造形で言うと……コンVのほうが足が長く見えてカッコいいです(笑)。腰の位置も上に見えるし……まあそれは仕方ないのかな？ 剛博士より南原博士のほうがセンスがよかったということで！実はこれ、もうひとつ遊び方があるんですよ。全高360ミリというのはスケールにするとおよそ1/160。ということは……ガンプラと並べてもさほど問題がない。さあ、シャア専用ザクと並べて、ゆうきまさみ先生のあのマンガのあのシーンを再現するのだ！(笑)というわけで、次は大空魔竜なのかなあ？ 個人的にはザンボット3とかお願いしたいんだけど……。

Love the new DX Voltes V. Way more features and much better articulation (although still missing a waist swivel) than my old DX Godaiken Voltes V.

Size and accessories....you should get it. It would be nice if they have more die-cast part than plastic. I feel like other DX SOC and SOC series has more die-cast. But overall, if you are a Voltes V fans, you should get this one.

きた、きた、きましたよ大型超合金！ボルテスファイブいやぁデカイ、重い、よく動くコンバトラーの貧弱なボディとくらべるとガッシリしたボルテス、いいですねぇ素直にカッコいいまだ合体させただけですがそれでもあちこちにおおぅ、すげぇと思うギミックが沢山さてさて電池かまして光らせたり鳴らしたりしちゃうぞぉ年末引きこもる準備ができた飛び出そう戦いの渦へ〜♩鼻歌まじりでじっくり合体させよう　　　そうしよう！
