Does "Pack of 6 (3 per pack)" mean 6 bars, or 6 packs of 3 (i.e. 18) bars?** A: If I remember right it is 6 bars. **Q: Has anyone tried this in making their own laundry detergent? If so, does it work well with cold water washes and is it safe for the septic?** A: I bought it to make my own laundry detergent also! I did that and haven't had any troubles - we use cold or cool water to wash. In the time I have been buying this soap, I saw that the ingredient names had changed, so I called and talked with Customer Service. I was told that both the old and new listed ingredients are actually the same thing. A Consultant Kirk's brought in to advise them updated the ingredient names. Before purchasing, I would suggest contacting Customer Service and asking them directly just to confirm what my understanding is.
