They are stiff enough to clean my coffee stained flasks, and soft enough to not scratch my plastic tumblers. Well, there could be some really fine scratches, but nothing noticeable when I just glance at them. There brushes dry quickly and I haven't had any problems with mold growing on them. The handle seems quite sturdy. I haven't broken either of them. The length fits all my bottles perfectly. These brushes make washing dishes much less stressful.
