The kit also includes directions if you're missing a piece or lose/break one for a free replacement if needed. The kit also includes 3 AA batteries and the beloved On/Off switch on the battery pack. My advice would be to take your time if working with a child. My tween and I put together this kit but I feel like he could have easily done it by himself following the directions included. I'd say it took less than 15 minutes to put together, testing along the way per the kit directions. We've both spent sometime playing with the finished product.
