This thing is great. Highly recommended for making iced tea
Update review 3/2021: i’ve used this carafe to make iced tea for at least five months and it has been stellar. not once has it chipped or broken from a rapid pouring difference in hot and cold temperatures. I would still advise people to be very cautious changing water temperatures because I’ve have had other carafe brands break when changing quickly (e.g., putting hot water into a carafe that just previously had room temp or cold water).Having said that I am going to buy another one of these because unfortunately I dropped mine and broke the handle. It still drips when I pour sometimes as I listed in my original review, but I noticed that’s only if it’s very full. And I learned that I just need to pour at the right speed - not too fast not too slow. Even though that’s still annoying I’m actually giving this an additional star because of how solid and durable it’s been overall.—Original review 10/2020: I have had a few glass carafes and this is by far the best one! so far after a month of continued use it can handle quick temperature changes. i have only used it to make iced tea so cannot currently speak to its ability to make iced coffee. my process: put in loose tea, risnse, add boiling water, steep for a while, then take out tea stainer and add ice. works amazingly well. the lid works great. i saw some reviews that said the lid did not work well but mine has been just fine and seals well etc. I personally don’t like/ need the measuring lines on the side but I’m guessing some folks like this i’m trying to find a consistent formula etcWhy not five stars?> this thing does not pour well when it’s very full! I found that it pours a little bit better when you go slowly. but when I have the thing filled up all the way to the top it spills down the side.> for some reason it’s really hard for me to get out all of the loose tea leaves from the tea strainer basket. Lately I’ve been doing my best to clean it with a sponge let it dry and then shake out the dry tea that I can’t get out with my sponge etc. This review was written in oct of 2020. thanks for reading, hope it helps you.

Easy to use, easy to clean
This works like a dream. The strainer infuses effectively while releasing minimal dust. I'm still experimenting with proportions and times for the best effects, but I've had good results brewing for 13-28 hours and at strengths of 1:4 and 1:16. The glass is sturdy but lightweight, each of the pieces easily comes apart for cleaning, and each piece is dishwasher safe. If you handwash, however, keep in mind that you will need a bottle brush with a sponge rather than bristles at the end to clean the infuser (the bristles will get stuck) - which this item comes with for your convenience!

For cold brew lovers! ((NVM))
UPDATE: after 3 months and careful care (always hand-wash), this cold brew maker is going back. Super bummed about it, too.Recently, the internal filter has been letting what looked (and tasted) like waaaaaayy too many grounds into the cold brew, and after a recent wash, all of the numbers on the front have disappeared. Not sure what happened and was using this every couple of days; super disappointed. If you don't mind some grounds in your cold brew and/or don't need the numbers/labels visible, this could still work for you. I'm back to starting another search.--Huge fan of cold brew but couldn't bring myself to spend money on a fancy "cold brew maker", especially after combing through so many that were either too small, too expensive, or had subpar reviews. Found this pup on Prime Day and am so happy I did!OVERALL- Double-walled glass means it's easy to clean and sturdy, but still light (ie, not heavy)- Dishwasher safe, but the brush that comes with package is great- Tight seal between pitcher and cap/coffee steeper- Mesh steeper is tight and little to no coffee beans (even finely ground) seep out into the actual brew- Holds up to 7 cups of cold brew!INSTRUCTIONSThis pitcher does not come with instructions, and while I do NOT claim to be a barista (by any means), I did some digging and found the following, which has helped me:- Ratio to brew, for a strong cup of coffee, is 1:1 (that is, 1 oz of beans per 1 cup of water)- The steeper holds up to 5 oz of finely ground beans- Fill the steeper with 5 oz of ground coffee, then put the steeper in the pitcher, and fill with 5 cups of water- Cap and refrigerate for 12-18 hoursThat's it!Using the 1:1 ratio, 5 oz of ground coffee + 5 cups of water = 5 cups of cold brewNOTES- Because the steeper displaces the water, the pitcher can only hold 6 cups of water, max- Depending on the ratio you use (most people use 1:1, some use .75:1 (meaning .75 oz of ground coffee beans per 1 cup of water), you can get ~6 cups of strong cold brew, or ~7 cups of less strong cold brewHave made a pitcher almost every night this week and still going strong!Highly recommend

No Instructions!
This is a lovely looking pitcher and very well packaged. I haven't used it yet because there are no instructions. I'll have to search them out online I suppose. Pretty ridiculous to omit instructions for use. After leaving the first review, i was continually contacted to make my review more favorable. To be fair and end the requests, I have added stars. This is a nice product and works pretty well. It is a bit difficult to pull up the center piece and drain the rest of the water out, however. If you order, I believe you'll be satisfied and I encourage you to quickly give a positive review....unless you love having lots of emails from the company;) They are persistent!
