SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chair, Swivel Desk Chair Height Adjustable Mesh Back Computer Chair with Lumbar Support, 90° Flip-up Armrest (Black)

One feature that I liked the reason and I purchased this chair for was the fact that the arms are able to move up and down so it could be considered an armless chair however when you want the arms you can and move them down. The seat is very comfortable I can sit for hours. Also tilts back. The back is supportive lumbar however the plastic piece is not very movable and you cannot adjust the lumbar too much it’s the only reason why I would give it a back support four star but overall all it is a great chair. Rolls around smoothly here on hardwood floors I do not see where it leaves any types of scuffs or marks. Has a smooth swivel and it goes up and down smoothly. Assembly was very easy you didn’t need to get any type of tools for the instructions were easy to follow with pictures they provided with an Allen wrench for are the screws and extra screws for each type of screw there’s two lengths of screws the wheels actually might’ve been the hardest part just to take and get in you need to press firmly when I was assembling it it was a bit awkward with the plane the back to the seat but that may have been just us because I was not being smart and being lazy by working on the floor. overall assembly was easy.

I’m sure it won’t be long before you won’t be able to purchase it anymore, as it will likely be discontinued to make way for newer, more expensive models. To this end, my review may be rather short-lived. If nothing else, it may help in your decision-making process WRT other SIHOO office chairs. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂? Prior to opting out of the wage slavery game about 8 months ago, I spent nearly 30 years doing my best to act like a professional person. Over tens of thousands of hours, I was involved in innumerable office chair-related situations. And as any good American can tell you, sitting is half the battle. For nearly 3 decades, sitting in an office chair was an integral part of my daily life. During this time I deleted countless unread emails, attempted to read faxes printed on paper that came in a roll, sent countless calls to voicemail, paid $0.99 for hundreds of MIDI ringtones, checked MySpace, creeped exes on Facebook and LinkedIn, played Quake over the corporate network, and generally pretended to work all while seated in nearly every conceivable form factor of the office chair known to humankind. From the cheaply made, poorly designed torture implements that are an insult to professional butts everywhere to the sleek, futuristic, ergonomically awesome, disgustingly expensive works of art from the likes of Hermann Miller. This butt has seen it all. Seriously, these middle-aged cheeks, while doing their best to avoid becoming victims of DGS (diminished gluteal syndrome), have experienced the entire gamut of Corporate American seating options. So, that’s why you should list to the words that are comin’ out of my keyboard. When it comes to seating devices used in an office setting, I'm about as close to an expert as you're likely to find in this world or the next. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁 𝗨𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 This is not a first-impression type review. I’ve owned this office chair since April 2022. This office chair is affordable. A 𝙗𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙩-𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 option, if you will. Way back in the olden times, I paid $160 for it. As of the writing of this review, it’s going for $80. Ouch, depreciation, amiright? Anyways, I use it nearly every day. Sometimes for an hour, sometimes for many hours. Overall, 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧. In the dictionary next to 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳, there could be a picture of this chair. That’s it. It’s good. Average. Viewed in isolation, this chair is 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙 𝘾+. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Being average, I mean. Trust me, I’ve spent my entire life being average. As I’m sure most of you have, too. I’ll probably finish the rest of my life in this way. For an office chair at this price point, it offers a nice mix of 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 and 𝙖𝙙𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 along with 🪑 Variable height adjustment 🪑 Adjustable lumbar support 🪑 Flip-up armrests 🪑 Breathable mesh back If I had to highlight a 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚, it would be its 𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙡𝙮-𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨-𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮. Some of the areas of the chair that may prove to be a bit wonky over the long term include - 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙥 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 (Replace them with a good set of skate-wheel type wheels (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTIG4GE?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1_0&th=1), and you won’t regret it.), the 𝙡𝙤𝙬-𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙖𝙙𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣 (while mine is still going strong, these things are notorious for failing as they age), and the 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮-𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙥-𝙪𝙥 𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨. 𝘈 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 Speaking specifically about the armrests – since this was a particular issue for me - if you use them to push yourself up from the chair like I do some words of warning; they will likely fail. Their function relies on a combination of friction (tightening a bolt on the side of the chair to adjust the tension of the up/down motion) and molded-in tabs (what prevents them from pushing too far down or up). The latter features aren’t meant to be load-bearing. To this end, one of the armrests on my chair eventually failed. I noticed that over time it had started to push down lower and lower until it was way past the horizontal. Turns out, the internal tabs molded into the armrest itself (see last two images) had crumbled. This meant that it could no longer remain in the horizontal position (down), and that I wasn’t able to use it as an armrest anymore. Which leads me nicely to… 𝗦𝗜𝗛𝗢𝗢 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 I didn’t want to throw out my otherwise perfectly functional office chair simply because of a bad armrest, so rather than give up and toss it into a landfill, I did what any proper Gen Xer would do – I contacted SIHOO customer service. I’ll go ahead and get this right out. I experienced some 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝘼 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 from SIHOO. They nailed it. Today, excellent customer service is rare. Hell, even mediocre customer service is rare. And we’re partly to blame because over time we’ve just learned to accept it. Most companies simply don’t care about customer service. Especially when it comes to things you buy online. If you have a problem, it’s your responsibility, not theirs. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I emailed SIHOO in China asking them to help me save my precious office chair. Her name is Lindy, BTW. Here's how my CS experience went down: December 23, 2024: I tracked down their customer service email on their website (for US customers it’s [email protected]) and I contacted them. I described my issue, attached a few photos of the offending armrest, and requested a new armrest so I could repair my chair and get back to sitting. December 24, 2024: To my surprise and delight, I received a reply. They had a few questions (order number, left or right armrest) and requested some additional information (a pic of the label on the lifting cylinder). Nothing crazy. December 26, 2024: I received yet another reply. And during the holiday madness even. They asked no further questions and confirmed that they would send me a replacement armrest. Boom. I received the replacement armrest on January 3, 2025. Hardware and all. 11 days from first contact to functional left armrest. The installation took 5 minutes and today my chair has a new lease on life. 𝗦𝘂𝗺 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗨𝗽, 𝗠𝗮𝗻. 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗦𝗵!& 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 It’s an 𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚, 𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨. It’s made by a company in China with 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚. This is not an expensive office chair. It's made with low-cost parts to retail as cheaply as possible while still enabling it to perform admirably its chairly duties. As with most things, you get what you pay for. 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙. 👍 It swivels 👍 Has an adjustable height 👍 A lumbar thingy you can muscle up and down for added support for your aging back 👍 Plastic roll-y casters for scooting around 👍 Thinnish but comfortable seat padding 👍 A mesh back so your anterior won't get sweaty during long desk-related activities 👍 Flip-up armrests so you can scooch up to your desk. Like me, this office chair isn’t perfect, but it gets the job done in a surprisingly classy way. For the price, you can’t go wrong. It’s not meant to be an heirloom piece that you’ll pass on to future generations, but I’d guess you could get an easy 5-7 years out of it. Depending, of course, on the intensity of your office sitting activities. P.S. The lap blanket doesn't come with the chair. My wife made it for me and I love it. P.P.S. It was pretty easy to assemble. If memory serves, it took me about 30 minutes, including the time to replace all of the wheels.

I wanted a middle of the ground professional chair for my office while I am working from home. The chair was pretty easy to set up in about 15 minutes and a few hex screws connecting the seat and back and seat and lever. The first thing you will notice is its design which is modern and perfect for a office. Upon sitting in it, you will notice how comfortable the extra padding feels and yet supports with the ergonomic mesh back which is also adjustable. Trying to raise the chair will only go so high, and is a bit lower than my previous chair. Having a fabric chair I will need to be more careful what I spill on the fabric as I did already and was lucky that it cleaned up fast. I like that it has a warranty on it as well for a good 3 years so I don’t have to keep buying chairs that start to fall apart. Overall I would recommend this chair for its long day support.

seit Beginn der Koronapandemie muss ich zu Hause arbeiten, bis jetzt sind es fast 9 Monate. Jeden Tag musste ich auf meinem alten Stuhl sitzen, der eigentlich nicht zum Arbeiten, sondern zum Entspannen gedacht ist. Der Stuhl ist also wirklich nicht bequem, wenn ich lange Zeit sitze, Computer enutze oder Dinge schreibe. Erst letzten Monat begann mein Rücken zu schmerzen und ich dachte ernsthaft darüber nach, den Stuhl zu wechseln. Ich habe diesen Stuhl im Amazonas gefunden, der wirklich wie der in meinem Büro aussieht. Er hat Räder und eine flexible Höheneinstellung, mit der ich mich bewegen und die Höhe meines Schreibtisches verändern kann, wodurch ich mich für langes Arbeiten wohler fühle. Die Wirbelsäule ist ziemlich leicht, aber robust. Auch die Form des Stuhls ist gut gestaltet, zeigt den Mode- und Geschäftsstil. Mir gefällt auch der Teil der Rückenlehne, der nicht vollständig bezogen ist, aber mit den Netzmaterialien passt er gut in den Sommer, da mein Rücken trockener und bequemer ist. Am besten gefällt mir der Griff, der den Winkel verändern und meine Arme stützen und entspannen könnte, besonders wenn ich mit einem Buch lese. Mir gefällt dieser Stuhl sehr gut, ich denke, er ist schön für meine Home office Zeit und für meinen gesunden Rücken.

Easy to set up and very comfortable. Headrest would be better if it would go slightly higher. But overall great. You can even hang a bag on the coat hanger bit on the back.
