It is made with Tungsten Alloy Steel which increases the number of precision cuts that can be made between sharpenings. (Normally 3 000 to 5 000 Cuts.)

Review: Well Pleased with QCM 8200M Heavy Duty Paper Cutter - I've been wanting a Desktop stack paper cutter ever since I left my last church, but I didn't want to pay the $ 1,000 + for the paper cutter I left in that church. I wanted a very well built, modest cost, but effective manual heavy duty stack paper cutter for modest frequency use in this church. My initial impressions upon using this QCM 8200M Heavy Duty Paper Cutter is that it is almost perfectly matched to my requirements. I've only used it a few times, but it seems to do exactly what I wanted it to do. If the paper is carefully positioned, and the block appropriately set, our machine cuts square, and with only a very negligible margin of measuring error. The only thing I miss from my prior more expensive cutter is that the drop block, which you roll down into place to lock the paper into position, takes a little longer to drop into position with its rolling handle. (My last machine had a quick-action lever to drop the block into place). But considering the hundreds of dollars of price advantage for this machine, and our relatively low frequency of usage, that is a small price to pay. I'm very pleased with the product for the price paid. It appears sturdily built, attractively built, and well functioning so far. Mind you, these are just initial impressions, but I'm thrilled enough so far that I thought others might benefit from my positive review, if they are also hunting for a solid, capable cutter at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased to recommend it based on my experience so far.
Review: Not for precision, but does simple jobs well - I purchased this for our print shop. For what we do it's wasn't cost effective to buy one of the giant digital machines so we decided to get this one. It's great for simple jobs, like cutting a stack in half or 1/4. Don't expect much precision out of this machine, and whatever you do, print cut lines on your top sheet only. The rulers aren't 100% accurate especially because you're pretty much eye-balling it, and the stack of paper likes to slide as the blade comes down, if you have crop marks on every page, or no bleed, you will probably have to cut twice to be sure you can't see the unprinted edge.

**Q: Has anyone used this to cut thick cardstock? Curious to know how many sheets of cardstock it's capable of cutting and how accurate.**
A: I have used this cutter on card stock (110 lb), I cut 25 sheets at a time. mark your paper to the size you need (scale it off) then to repeat cut just put a tape mark on the table for fast repeat cutting. this cutter is worth the price, but only the price! don't expect to get a $2,000.00 cutter.

A: I have never tried it personally, but this thing is amazingly sharp and strong. It can cut 250 pages of card stock or 350 regular paper, so I would imagine it must cut stickers

**Q: Can it cut thicker items like illustration/mat board?**
A: Yes. QCM-8200M is designed to cut thicker items like mat board and books up to 2 inches. You shall have perfect cuts.

**Q: does this cut 11x17 and 12x18 paper as well???**
A: Hi Casey, we have this machine and use it at our elementary school - we LOVE it!!  The blade opening is 12" wide, so you can only use paper up to 12" wide, but you can take the paper guide off the machine and cut any length of paper.  So to answer your question - yes, it will cut the 11wx17l and 12wx18l paper.

### ⭐ Awful cutter!

This is my second QCM Desktop Stacker Paper cutter. They have made several changes since I purchased the first one. The clamp mechanism does not stay tight resulting in skewed paper. Also, the blade dulled after about 20 cuts and wouldn't go through a stack of copy paper thicker than 50 sheets and even that was with tremendous force. Way over priced for a piece of junk.
