I use these quite frequently for booting new operating systems. They have very high transfer rates and I've yet to have one fail. The storage capacity is large enough for any operating system.

It's a memory stick, works like it should

I used this SamData 16GB USB drive to install Windows on a few new computers, and it worked fine. The swivel design is handy, and the LED light makes it easy to see when it’s plugged in. It’s USB 2.0, so transfers aren’t super fast, but for installing an OS, speed isn’t a huge deal. It’s simple, reliable, and cheap—nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

I loaded Linx Mint on it and the download locked it up making it unusable!

Nice compact size with a solid feel. I had no problem uploading my video and photo files to this it was a basic plug-in play. Did the job I needed at a great price.
