I bought three of these. First is an exact model from another vendor. Followed instructions and it worked fine the first time. Bought another from another vendor for a little less and immediate shipping. Exact model number. Exact instructions. Different sku on outside box. Followed instructions and the gate opened once but would not ever work again. Found a solution on You Tube. The programing instructions are wrong.When programing the DIP switches you start process by pressing the "program button" under the cover. You then pick outside button 1 or 2 to operate the door. Instructions say to press "program button" again after the multiple main button 1 presses are needed to correspond to the gate brand are finished. In fact the gate/door will open when you get to the right one. My advice is that if following the paper instructions doesn't work, instead of pressing the program button to lock in the brand, press the "other" main button 2 on the outside of the remote and then go back and press button 1 and gate/door will operate. Simply reversing the DIP switches did not work in my case- which has been suggested elsewhere. YMMV. Once programed the switch is terrific. Great value.

Programming was easy and worked well right out of the box

Tried to program my garage to my car but realized I needed my remote (lost my remote). So decided to buy a universal one that was cheap since I would mostly be using my home link. Step 2 says to press keys 2&3 simultaneously on the CLICKER and wait for the LED. Well the LED never came. Started to feel like I was playing with a toy. Don’t know what else to do. I took it apart to see if there was a reset button underneath. Nothing.

I was somewhat skeptical that this would work so easily and so flawlessly. This universal remote took about a minute to configure and was working. I love this remote. Well done to the vendor. Great device that worked in a jam.

Works really good for price but programming wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be

They only gave us one garage opener in my complex.Easy to install. Never have issues.

I have an early 1990s Sears Craftsman garage door opener (GDO) with 9 dip switches. It doesn't have a learn button. I wanted a wireless keypad, so I bought a "universal" Chamberlain KLIK2U-P2MC but, after trying for 3 hours (including a call to Chamberlain customer support), it simply didn't work. I returned it, and bought this (cheaper) one.It's backlit, it beeps with each button press, and it took me only 15 minutes to get it working. The first 10 of those minutes was fetching a ladder, and changing the dip switches on my GDO. I had to do this because each dip switch has three possible positions (up, middle, down; aka +, 0, -) and the existing settings had some of the switches set at 0 (middle). However, this keypad doesn't allow that - all of the dip switches on the GDO have to be set to either up or down. So, up the ladder I went, to set them all to up or down, then I spent a few minutes programming the keypad. I used ID 10 for my GDO (even though it is a Sears, I selected ID 10, which is Chamberlain 1990-1992), and then I entered the position of each dip switch, then I chose a 4-digit PIN. And bingo, it works well. In fact, when I programmed the keypad, I was sitting in my home office, about 30 yards (and several walls) from the garage - and my wife came into my office to ask me why the garage door was moving! So, this keypad not only works, it also has a great range !!My only "complaint" is very minor - I wish there was a link, on Amazon, to a pdf of the user manual.

So I must have gotten this second hand because it came in a clear plastic bag with no instructions. I had to search for the item ordered and see if I could find instructions on how to set this thing up. I finally found a customer reviewed video of how to do it and the installation was actually pretty easy. The down side is, my garage door opens with the opener but it doesn’t close! It’s literally a garage door opener. Every time I press the button again it just clicks and doesn’t close so I have to return. I’ve used universal garage door openers before but this one is not functional for the reason mentioned above!

Lo use para mi portón y de mis papas y use los 3 botones y para cada uno color diferente, en mi caso fue amarillo, verde y morado y todo bien, solo hay que seguir las instrucciones.

Our original (20 year old) remote openers were less and less likely to reliably open our garage door, and the fobs I picked up from the local Canadian Tire also seemed really hit and miss.This particular model has been a CHAMP though! It kicks out a stronger signal, able to open the door from a greater distance than the original, and has been FAR more reliable - working on the first click every time. We're very happy with this solution!
