Q: Why can’t I just buy Saint Augustine grass seed?

St. Augustinegrasses do not produce enough viable seed for commercialization. For this reason, seed is not produced for lawn propagation use and it is therefore not available for sale at your local garden center.

Q: Is saint Augistine safe for birds, dogs, and other critters?

are you talking about feeding the seeds to the birds? That's not part of their diet. I have a dog, and birds and squirrels frequent my yard due to oak trees/acorn. They've had no adverse affects to my grass

Q: If I plug my yard with Seville will it take over the centipede to cover the whole yard or do I remove the grass first?

I put 96 plugs in last summer. My yard is fescue and I have an irrigation system. I was figuring it would spread and eventually take over. I thought I did everything per Instructions but ??? The dozen or so that are still alive have not spread at all. Just 4” squares.
