About two large (adult female) handfuls worth in a small tin container that I transferred to a larger bowl/container for space and is currently sitting on my desk. I have an at-times stressful desk job and am a nail-biter. To try to give my hands something to do while idle, I purchased this and was surprised to find it remarkably therapeutic. Ordering a second container because I thought it would be more fun to build with during downtime and you do gradually 'lose' volume because some is typically leftover on your fingers and you just brush it off to the floor. Recommend not adding water at all and making sure your hands are dry/clean ( I have a hand towel on my desk for before/after use.
