Seiko Men's Analogue Automatic Watch Seiko 5 Sports

The Seiko SRPD55 is my first Seiko watch - it’s part of the Seiko 5 Sports collection a successor to the much-loved SKX. It has a case diameter of 42.5mm and a thickness of 13.4mm, making it the thickest watch I own. I have to say, I’m still getting used to the thickness of the bezel, but the more I use it, the more I’m starting to appreciate how the thickness makes it much easier to rotate the unidirectional bezel. So if you plan to use the bezel frequently, that can be a huge plus. It has some weight to it as well, but you get used to it. This watch can seamlessly suit a casual fit, so you can wear it with a wide variety of outfits. This is a diver-style watch makes for a great daily with its day-date functionality, so it scratches that itch nearly as well as my go-to Casio. It also makes a great companion for outdoor adventures and activities with its specs. Take it on a hike, to the beach, swimming, or to the office. Some folks don’t like that it is missing some features from the original ISO-certified SKX: 100m water resistance instead of 200m, lack of a lume pip on the bezel, and lack of a screw-down crown. I personally don’t have an issue with any of these features at the moment, so it’s gets the job done for my first proper diver. It does, however, include features that the original did not: hacking and handwinding, and a generally better movement than its predecessor - features that I value more. The bracelet isn’t the highest quality, but it’s certainly functional. You can always swap that out from something more comfy if you’d like. I was especially excited to see Seiko’s LumiBrite in person, which is incredible and lasts all through the night. Either way, this watch has impressed me as my first Seiko and proper diver. I fear this may be the beginning of a (moderately healthy) obsession, as the collection has been for many others. I’m excited to continue wearing it. If you’re looking for an entry-level automatic dive watch that can go in the water, or just stay on land, this is a great place to look.

This watch is very attractive in person. Reserve lasts a long time. I have very large wrists and it fits perfect without adding links. Love it. Great everyday automatic watch!

Great watch. The movement is of very good quality. In my opinion it rivals Rolex in quality and reliability. Seiko watches are well built to last a lifetime like Rolex watches but for way less money. Its a real value.

Good for the price but bracket is kinda cheap

Incredible watch. Really nice quality. I'm not s huge fan of the bracelet but it's easily adjusted and is decent enough. Little thick but you get used to it.

Watch stop working after 3 months for no reason, it did not fall I even take it off when I shower even though never did that with my previous Seiko that lasted from 2011 to 2024, i think they making them cheap I sent the watch to Seiko the want 195$ to repair it because was purchased from unauthorized dealer and they are not its original until they open the watch which I refused I do not want lose more money Contacted the seller never responded to my message Amazon claim he is authorized seller on Amazon and it’s past return window and I need to take it up with seller who does respond to my messages My previous Seiko I purchased in 2011 from Amazon and ran well until June 2024 this one is cheap nock out from china do not trust this seller and unfortunately I have been customer of Amazon since 1996 this company has changed to the worse

Very nice watch, great, weight and size, but the one I got was running -236.4 sec a day, so it got sent back. Ordered another and I hope this one works better.

It’s my first seiko watch. I got it at really good deal on amazon. It was quick delivery from UK to Australia. Watch looks good at first look. I have been wearing it every day since last 4 weeks. Nice movement and good looking dial. Easy to adjust day and date. My only complain is with the bracelet. The bracelet of this watch doesn’t do justice with its gorgeous dial. It’s good bracelet and works fine but somehow it looks cheap with the dial. It’s very light weight as well. I will definitely change it and get some cool straps from strapcode. Overall I think it’s a good watch for entry into the watch collection. Now the next watch is seiko turtle Pepsi on my list.

Wery nice watch

Lieferung sehr flott. Original verpackt mit allen Schutzfolien. Tagesanzeige ENG/FRZ. Für mich aber kein Thema und nur ein minimaler Dämpfer. 2 Glieder musste ich entfernen und hab das vorher nie gemacht. Dank YT keine Problem. Am Donnerstag Morgen um 9:00 Uhr als Vatertags Geschenk erhalten. Uhr Sekunden genau eingestellt. Am nächsten Morgen keine Abweichung bei Vergleich mit meinem iPhone. Verarbeitung ist Top. Lünette absolut über dem 12 Uhr Punkt. Läuft seidenweich. Aufzug und Einstellungen ohne Widerstände ohne Knack Geräusche. Gewicht absolut angenehm zu tragen. Schriftzüge und Zeitmarken ohne jeden Fehler. Uhr war im richtigen 24h Rhythmus. Tag und Datum wechselten also zwischen 0:00 und 04:00. Seiko gibt die 10 bar/ 100m mit schwimmen und leichtem tauchen an. Mir persönlich reicht das. Das Metall Armband fühlt sich toll an und sieht toll an der Uhr aus. Es rappelt nicht. Gegen ihren Vorgänger einer Dugena Seatech 200 WR ist sie etwas kleiner. An der ging mir das Gewinde der Krone kaputt. Mein Fehler. Auf der Suche nach einer neuen Uhr dachte ich erst an die MoonSwatch. Da die Omega Speedmaster wirklich schön ist und 250 Öcken erschwinglich wäre. Lange überlegt und recherchiert. Schlussendlich wurde es die Seiko weil die MoonSwatch nur 3 bar verkraftet. Da wäre sogar Hände waschen unter einem starken Strahl nicht möglich. Das fand ich zu dem Preis nicht ok. An der Seiko fiel mir der Schriftzug Automatic direkt ins Auge. Die Krone auf 4 Uhr ist viel angenehmer als wie normal auf 3 Uhr. In schwarz mit dem Metall Armband absolut geschmackvoll und zeitlos schön. **************************************************** Update: 1 Woche und 2 Tage getragen. Jeden Tag 14-16 Stunden. Büro Job. Uhr läuft und läuft. Hat in der Zeit einen gesamten Vorlauf von jetzt 17 Sekunden! Mega. Das wären knapp 2 Sekunden Abweichung pro Tag. Da kann sich manch teurere Automatik eine Scheibe von abschneiden. Kann natürlich auch nur Glück sein. Muss man auch mal haben. Die Folien zum Schutz des Metall Armbands, was übrigens absolut Klasse ist, hinterlassen irgendwie einen Rest Kleber. Es sammeln sich keine Fusseln an, aber irgendwie wie getrocknete Wassertropfen. Unschön. Abhilfe mit weicher Zahnbürste und bisschen Spülmittel das Band ab schrubben.
