Argentinian filmmaker Nicolas Entel does something very different in looking at the legend that is Pablo Escobar. Entel focuses on the life of his son, Sebastian Marroquin, and his attempts to come to grips with all the hideous karmic wreckage inflicted by his malevolent father. It is the story of difficult reconciliation where the desire for revenge in countries racked by by ethnic and religious strife is almost an everyday occurance. Riveting!! This is a HBO premiere Dcoummentary. The film was released internationally in 2009 and also to Sundance Film Fest 2010 where it was nominated for Grand Jury Prize ( World Cinema) and the Miami Film Festival 2010 where it won Audience Award and Grand Jury Prize. Review: Well made documentary on a unique aspect of Escobar's life. - Fascinating look into Escobar's family and their part in his exploits. Perhaps more fascinating is the way his son, Juan Pablo (Sebastian) viewed his father then and now with no real change. The only change was his view of the victims and his redemption which was amazing to witness. Also his courage to face his father's victims' children and vice versa. My favorite part was an eloquently written letter by Sebastian. Highly recommended if you are old enough to remember this notorious drug kingpin or the new generation who only woke up to this story thanks to Narcos on Netflix ;)
Review: great documentary love it - very good documentary shows clips and speeches of his time as well as the points from his son and wife. The only thing is its not in english its in spanish the whole documentary but there are english subtitles through it all.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made documentary on a unique aspect of Escobar's life.

Fascinating look into Escobar's family and their part in his exploits. Perhaps more fascinating is the way his son, Juan Pablo (Sebastian) viewed his father then and now with no real change. The only change was his view of the victims and his redemption which was amazing to witness. Also his courage to face his father's victims' children and vice versa. My favorite part was an eloquently written letter by Sebastian. Highly recommended if you are old enough to remember this notorious drug kingpin or the new generation who only woke up to this story thanks to Narcos on Netflix ;)

very good documentary shows clips and speeches of his time as well as the points from his son and wife. The only thing is its not in english its in spanish the whole documentary but there are english subtitles through it all.

We had just watched Narcos and thought we find out some more in Pablo. This was very informative. Had great insight. If you want to know more about Pablo, this documentary is good.
