These daggers have been my favorite so far and I am updating my review a bit because I don't think I really stressed WHAT A TOTAL DEAL THIS IS!!! I know in watercolor...1. BEST PAPER YOU CAN AFFORD. 100% COTTON..PLEASE..2. The right brush FOR YOU and you don't need a lot (yikes ..I bought so many... I like a lot of them but super soft..aka the princeton Neptune is a nightmare for me but I'm no pro..I like a little snap...probably princeton heritage 4050 is a fave but I tend to be inpatient and also I want to try lots of shapes etc). I bought a princeton set at Michael's and it had one of the Petals brushes (it says size 6) that I LOVE but it's tiny and I really wanted to get that effect in more sizes. I bought the KRISTY RICE set from paint crush. I love it. It's $32 but the whole reason is for the 2 daggers. 1/2 &1/4. Love them. I really just say here playing with them, trying techniques etc and I have to say, this brush set is may be the better deal because you're getting the princeton petal brush 6 in the 1/8, the 1/2 and 1/4 are in this plus a 3/8...i really think this gives it all to you (assuming you've gotten a wash in other packs). I love Kristy and everything she does but I have to give it up for this set after really comparing it. You get a lot here and daggers are so amazing (there's not much you can't do!). I kind of have a new respect for this brand and not sure why it's not getting more love in the YouTube art community but certain brands have their loyal following and partners. All good. I think this is gonna be my brand one day when I'm a famous YouTube artist. Lol.

I use these for watercolor projects. Most of my work is small—less than 9x12. This set works perfectly for botanicals and some feathers. I use rounds most of the time but these do come in handy on occasion. I used the small ones making a valentines card with ink (PH Martin black star). I did the line work with a G-pen and then used the daggers to fill in the black and red elements of the design. Very easy to get into small, tight corners—easier than using a round—and then just a twist and I could fill in a broad area as well. I also like them for detail work where I ordinarily might use a round 0 or 1 but want to have the option of a variable width in the stroke.

I just discovered the best paint brushes for trees and such. Perfect brushes, good quality, totally worth the money, so soft, four sizes.

I like the assorted sizes which will give me a chance to learn how to control dagger brushes. I also purchased Neptune which has longer "hairs". I like the length and shape of these better. They hold an adequate amount of water/paint. Should make painting leaves and flower petal shapes easier after some practice. Happy with my purchase and definitely worth trying.

Great for painting watercolors

I want sure I would like how soft they are when working with acrylic out thick oil. But then I realized when doing the very thin lines that I would think my paint. I can get super fine lines with these and love them

The brushes are okay, I thought they would allow me to do finer lines, I feel they are a little too thick for that. Maybe I should have studied the pictures a little better.
