I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. I have learned a lot over the years about what makes a knife good and this sounded like it would be a good one. Both my husband and I were surprised how wonderful the craftsmanship is and the attention to detail. The knife of course needed to be sharpened but most knives do. I think this knife makes a great gift for any knife collector.

I love this knife!! Very very sharp and good looking .. I just wished the knife pouch that it came with snap instead of having to take my belt off every time to put it on . But I can buy another knife carrying pouch. I wished they had used snaps on the back. Besides that the knife is awesome cuz great sharp as HELL Yessss Sir very sharp

Bought this for my son who is in boy scouts and he could not safely close the blade once opened. Very difficult for me as well, which I fear will lead to injury. Shouldn't be this hard to close.

Just got mine today.I must say, the knife is good quality. The wood inlays appear to be genuine rosewood. The wood use is uniform in grain pattern, without cracks or significant gaps between the wood and bolsters. The bolster design is stamped. Looks nice. They could have done a better job making the bolster pins flush, but it's acceptable. The blade has a very nice damascus pattern. Sharpness is OK out of the box. The grind on the blade is also good. Lock up is tight. No blade play at all. I was impressed with it. The blade centering is spot on. Definitely no blade rub noted. Pretty smooth opening action, no gritty feel. I also like the filing work on the lock bar and on the blade spine. Nice touch.The size and weight of the knife is good for pocket carry. Comparable to the Buck 112 model that this knife is patterned after. Some may still prefer using the sheath it came with. Sheath quality is good, real leather. The stitching on mine was well done and looks sturdy. The belt loop is a bit thin in my opinion but it will work.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I would say, the knife and sheath are worth the price paid. Just keep in mind, this is a first impression review. I can not vouch for edge retention or any long term issues the knife may have. But I have a good sense that this knife will serve me well.Definitely will consider buying more from the seller in other models to see if the quality is consistent.
