Here is how I did it. I watched Eric the Car Guy Top Off AC for most of this.
It worked as advertised, well built unit and the gloves came in handy (I at first thought they were stupid)Here is what I did...1. Start car, turn on AC, make sure fans in front of the car are spinning, if they are not, then that is probably your problem.2. Turn off the car.3. Attach the gage to the hood latch4. Make sure both the High and low side are both closed at the gages5. Make sure the connections are both closed6. Connect Yellow hose and connect a can of 134a7. Connect the low and high sides but make sure they are in the closed position8. Purge the yellow hose9. Open the blue side at the manifold slightly unscrew the blue hose at the coupling so it purges the blue hose, close the blue manifold10. Do the same on the red side.11. Both red and blue side at the manifold should be closed12. All hoses should be full of R134A13. Slowly open the low side and watch the needle on the gage move. Stop turning when it moves14. Slowly open the high side and watch the needle on the gage move. Stop turning when it moves15. Start the car16. Turn on AC17. Observe the pressures. What it should be depends on temp, humidity, and what your manufacture recommends. I got the shop manual for my car so I used that.18. Per my manufacture (2011 Honda Odyssey) Rev the engine to 1500 RPM for 10 min and see where the pressures are. Record these temps19. TRICKY PART BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO PUT TOO MUCH INa. Open up the low side valve for 5 seconds and recheck pressuresb. Raise RPM TO 1500 and see where high side gauge isc. Repeat a and b20. Taking it aparta. Close the needle valve on the canb. Open the low side valve again to let the yellow hose empty into the car.c. Turn low side fitting counter clockwise until it bottoms out, disconnectd. Turn high side fitting counter clockwise until it bottoms out, disconnect

Honest opinion
Cheap kit, but you would not be able to tell other then the gauges. I use it all the time no issues to report.

Struggle to get the job done.
Used this today for the first time, definitely not impressed. The gauges are fine, the self sealing can tap and the yellow charge line are horrible. Can tap worked properly on first can, then was a huge pain in the ass on next two cans. It started to come apart after one can. The yellow charge line leaked at the end that attaches to the can tap. Horrible experience.

Works as Intended
Works as intended, the can (tap) attachments didnt want to work very well, found you had to slightly unscrew the can for it to allow the gas to flow. If you are using the normal bottle fittings then it worked well.Gauges read correctly and the R134a fittings were easy to use.
