Great family game
Really fun game. Easy to learn & play. Enjoyed by my whole family (adults & kids aged 10 &8). App is good - maybe a little repetitive but adds a sense of drama & urgency. Highly recommended.

Loads of fun, the phone hype helps
It's been over a year since we bought this and I will tell you now that it has eventually been donated to a charity shop. BUT!!I am still very glad I bought it, and it was a whole lot of fun while it lasted. Its a great example of a co-operative multiplayer game, and of when a smartphone app ADDS to the gameplay rather than distracts from it.It works like this: The phone app essentially sets off a timer, and triggers the appearance of a number of monsters in a small town. the players have to work together to destroy monsters, collecting the necessary items and getting them to the right locations. As expected the frequency of monsters increases as time moves on which builds the tension. As a family of two adults and two kids it was a great Christmas game which got many play-throughs for the weeks after Christmas.co-operative games are hard to get right because most people, deep-down, don't want to share their winnings. But I think this works because of the theme, you are frantically trying to rescue a town that is drowning in terrible monsters! It's all for the greater good!We got rid of it after a year, simply because we had played it so much. For the price, I think the ride was worth it. no regrets!recommended age and play-length is about right.

Short and sweet...
Bought this game as a nice short game to play with my son and partner. Does not disappoint in that regard. Quick to set up and 20min countdown timer. My son loves the tension at the end when there is little time left and you're racing to beat the last monster. The app really adds to the atmosphere. Would recommend for families with younger gamers.

Great cooperative family game
Very happy. We’re big fans of co-operative games like 5-Minute Marvel, Ghost Fightin Treasure Hunters and Castle Panic. Last Defence didn’t disappoint. It’s straightforward to play and my 7 and 8 year old picked it up quickly. The game itself is good quality.

Crazy fast paced game
This game has so much potential but to be honest we played it twice and now on a rainy day we don’t go to play it anymore as it is not a calming game,The aim is to work together to beat the monsters in under 20 mins,The app is constantly going off and telling you to change positions of things when we are in the middle of our turns. It totally confuses you and a sudden urge of panic as the timer comes to an end.It is more stress than it’s worth. As mentioned we have played twice and now ready to donate this to charity.

Good game for younger players
A quick 20 minute game that takes moments to set up and learn.Played this few times with my 11yo and 6yo, they enjoy it a lot.It is repetitive even though you don't know which 4 of the 5 monsters will play. Although the younger players don't mind.Doesn't play as well with more players as it becomes easy to get all the parts needed.4 stars as I feel it is aimed at younger players and works well for them.

Fun and easy game to play with the family.
Like I said in the title, this is a fun and easy game to play with the family. The app is an interesting change from the normal board game experience, and definitely helps with the emersion. The mechanics of the game are simple enough for kids to understand. The price is great for what you get.The only negatives I can see, is that there isn't a suggested way to play without using App. The second one is a personal strike, but shouldn't deture the normal player, and that's the monsters don't have minitures. Cardboard cut outs are fine, but I like to paint the minitures to add to the game.
