Good but arms need some tweaking.
I love that it can be attached to a table or any surface. The arms are a bit tough to manuever. Takes 2 hands to move an arm. Would be nice if using 1 hand would move an arm where I need it to be!! Came with an extra clip.

Cheap, works for small projects
This is much cheaper than the typical device. It only has 3 arms, and they are completely made of plastic. I had a one-off soldering project, and this fit the bill perfectly. If you have a lot of work, or need something sturdy, or need more arms or other bells and whistles, get something better. This is perfectly adequate for soldering leads onto LED strip lights.

Makes Soldering and Small Projects So Much Easier!
This Helping Hands Soldering Station is a total game-changer for electronics and craft work. The flexible arms hold parts exactly where you need them, which frees up both hands for precise soldering. The clamps grip firmly without damaging components, and the sturdy base keeps everything stable. It’s also great for jewelry or small hobby projects. This tool really helps make detailed work faster, cleaner, and less frustrating — highly recommend!

Wanted to like but difficult
I wanted to like this helping hands but the way you clamp to a table is just bad, you have the 3rd arm sticking out at you. that is if you permanently mount it using the holes on the mount it will be turned the right way. I’ve found that by clamping it with some normal spring clasp clamps it works like a charm. But I still have to ding it for bad design. And it’s sad that they haven’t redesigned it and keep selling the same mount with different attachments.

Inexpensive, sturdy, compact, and worth every penny.
I bought a lot of electronics/robotics stuff at once & took a chance on some budget options, and this one worked out great. For the price I got exactly what I was expecting. "you get what you pay for", but in this case what you think you're paying for is exactly what you get (it clamps, it holds firmly, its arms are flexible - nothing broke after bending and positioning the arms around, the clamps have rubber on the metal gripper to protect whatever you're gripping... For me, living in an apt with just a 2nd bedroom as my office, garage, and music studio, I value compact things that do what I need them to do. This does that.

yep, Solid and Sturdy
I got this for a single job, but I can't believe I haven't owned one already. I have used the old Cast and Metal helper hands since I was a kid (50yrs ago!) a cheapo set that was always loose, but usually got me through. I eagerly await seeing if and when the arms start loosening up and don't hold as tight. For now, it is Great and well worth the few bucks it cost.

Quality tabletop soldering stand with actual third arm
This third hand is quite useful when needed to hold those small things your trying to solder that are just too small or unwieldy to place on a surface and solder. The removable alligator clips are well made and strong enough to hold wires and other assorted items while you work on them. The movable arms they are attached to are strong enough that you can position them and have them stay where you place them with most objects your working on within reason. The third arm and clip really can make a difference and I’ve come to really like it after getting acquainted with the device. The clamp that holds the whole thing stationary could be improved on but is handy for table top soldering of heavier objects. I got this for the stability which it had but I would prefer a weighted stand for this instead of the clamp. The clamp is sturdy but it can damage your table top and you have to get it attached “just so” to make it a solid connection where with a weighted base you just set it in the work surface and it’s ready also you can put a work tray under your work item to hold small parts or to catch any excess solder. All in all it’s a good stand but I wish I’d got the base type instead. Would still recommend.

Not that helpful
I was excited to try one of these. My soldering jobs are usually not that extensive. This time I needed that "3rd" hand. Getting the main part clamped...easy first step. After that, I had to constantly adjust. The arm flexed to much, were "sticky "and couldn't position correctly. All trial and error. The clamps would slip out of the arms. Then I noticed the sleeves on the clamp had cracked so the clamps wouldn't stay..... an hour later. I finally soldered 1 wire to only one side of the connector. I've soldered an entire XT60 (2 wires) complete in about 1 minute using a vise grip. I am bummed about the experience.
