From a Bike Mechanic's Perspective
A customer brought us one of these bikes, new. I have wrenched on bikes in shops for over 20 years. I gotta say, this is a dangerous machine. It has parts on it that are cheaper than any department store bike I've ever seen. The suspension bushings have so much play that you'd swear the frame is broken. The quill stem is so flexy that you would think the quill bolt is finger loose. The disc brake mounting tabs are not straight and we had to install washers to attempt to space the brake calipers to where they weren't rubbing. The derailleur hanger wasn't straight at all. As can be expected on a sub $200 bicycle, the front forks are extremely flexy and will flex during hard braking and cornering. Please don't use this bicycle offroad, only smooth trails. I am seriously concerned with the safety of our customer who purchased this bike.
