Okay but better options are out there
I bought this product because of the cute design. However, I end up rarely using it because it is too difficult to close. I have a hard time closing it as an adult, my pre-K can never close this one. We have a different brand box and he doesn't have any issues getting it closed, but this particular box does not close easily. I end up having to try and close it at least 3 or 4 times to send his lunch with him, the snaps don't seem to line up properly or something. I would consider purchasing the more name brand box that is more expensive and save yourself a headache and mess after school in the lunchbag.

Hard for an adult to close and water gets trapped
I've been searching for one of these boxes with large enough food portions for my autistic daughter. She is a grazer and has a lot of food sensitivity and texture issues. She also like her food separated. I was going with the clear top one and she saw this one and really wanted it. (Purple unicorn) the portion sizes are good, and will fit in her new lunch box that came with her backpack. When it 1st came (before it was all hand washed), it was easy to open and close, except the latches to kept falling in the way. After hand washing the entire thing and letting it dry (water gets stuck in the latch pcs front and back and may cause mold so watch out for that) the stupid thing will NOT close right. It is so tight that it is very hard for me to close. This morning she was practicing open and closing it and she was getting very frustrated with it. I'm thinking about returning it & trying a bentgo box instead. I didn't want to pay $30 and this seemed like a good alternative. It has the portion sizes we wanted and it's cute. But what is the point if the kids can't close it? It's a shame, bc it is sturdy, cute, and affordable.

What the heck is a bento box?
My grandson starts kindergarten this year and I asked his mom what he needed for school and she said a bento box. I had no idea what that was and had to look for them on Amazon. It is a compartmented lunch box and easy to clean. OK, so I got him this dinosaur one because he likes dinos. Seems well made and good portion size for a fast growing kid. He likes it!

Not kid friendly
Had a few issues that I couldn’t get past.1. The slot inside would get stuck and would require an adult to pry open. Happened to my kids multiple times at school.2. Sometimes it doesn’t close properly, I would just have to try and align it a few times for it to close.I wanted to like it but these problems kept happening and my kids kept complaining. I’m not sure if I just got one that has problems or that’s just how this product is.

Bentgo vs. Kinsho At First Glance
Bentgo Vs. Kinsho in Wildlin Lunch Bag:1. Bentgo has slight more curve to overall dimension- making it a little bigger footprint.2. Bentgo is a little more narrow in tray height- as depicted in pictures.3. Bentgo has a different tray layout- which could be better for sandwiches, but Kinsho seems to have less wasted space in how tray sections are laid out.4. Kinsho comes with floating spork utensil, which is nice if you have a lunch box you’re putting it in and have the extra storage space.5. Both- when placing in Wildkin lunch bag- leave enough room inside to place a box juice or capri sun type drink and a couple snack bags, depending on the size. (As shoes in picture)6. Both are easy to open and close for both kids ages 5&7.Overall- both are great, but different.

Small compartments
This is the best quality bento box I have ever purchased. Two year old loves it. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the compartments are too small for a sandwich cot into quarters!
