I love the professional looks of the Trintec clocks. I really like that they have 00 at midnight instead of 24. Maybe they do that in Europe? For U.S. Military and Government, we use 00. Happy to support a business of our Canadian Allies too. The white hour hand is set to Local 12 hour, the red hand is set to the GMT 24 hour, the minute and second hands are both local and GMT. I thought there was something wrong with the clock, but figured out it was a well intentioned, but confused individual kept changing the red GMT hand to Local 24 hour military time. I have not had any issues with the clock faces getting scratched, but then mine just hang on the walls, columns, etc. I actually prefer the plastic face: someone dropped one of the clocks and it was fine; I just had to reseat the battery. If the face was glass, it definitely would have broken. For close distance, the smaller clock is OK, but for farther distances, we use the bigger diameter. The customer service at Trintec is excellent as well. I absolutely recommend them and will gladly purchase from them again. I hope this helps if you had any doubts.

I purchased this for my son who started Air Force flight school. I like the design and wanted something with Zulu time for his home office. Like most things these days it is made out of very light weight plastic so it doesn't have a great quality feel. There are some specs of something on the inside clock face and lens, so it wasn't cleaned very well before assembly, but those are not really noticeable once hanging on the wall. Keeps perfect time.

no idea who's been rating this piece of junk 4-5 stars, because there's no way. absolute trash. I spent $40 on this? no, sir, this crap is going back. i can walk into the nastiest Walmart and pick an equivalent quality product for $9.99, which will keep time unlike this product. avoid.

Minute and hour hands do not align at top of the hour. Th e minute hand is a good 10 minutes off when hour hand is aligned with an hour marker. 2nd major issue. THe adjustment wheel on mechanism is so clunky as to make setting time extremely difficult. It is a jerky sticky cog that causes the minute hand to jump 2 to 3 minutes with the smallest of movements. Total mess to try and set time to the minute. Adjusting the UTC Red marker was easy and one turns a large cogwheel sticking out bottom of clock mechanisim. I might have rated this a 3 had I been able to figure out a way to SAFELY remove the clear plastic clock face to then tweak the minute hand to properly align with the hour hand. However I saw quickly I would not be able to do so without leaving pry marks and then would be in poor postion to return for full refund. My advice, look elsewhere or be sure you can return for free. Amazon gets a 5 of 5 for ease of return process. I only had this clock 15 minutes so can not comment on potential accuracy. It says 'made in Canada' but has the feel of typical low quality Chinesium.

I a ham radio operator and we need a good 24 hour clock and local time. It is all in one place.

Keeps good time on both clocks until the red hand (24 hour indicator) quit moving. Very disappointing to me as that option is why I purchased the clock to begin with.

Only thing I would change is the 24h hand to be different color such as high visibility green or orange. Having it same color as second hand not ideal to me.
