The two brightness settings, activated by the tail-cap button will cover a wide range of applications. Although there is no option to focus or spread the beam, the beam is divided into a wider area and a concentrated spot. Weight wise it does feel hefty, but that lends itself to its robust feel. 22.5cm long and approx. 373grms without batteries and approx. 510grms with x6 AA cells. It has a reduced tendancy to roll on account of its rubber hexagon surrounds at the both front and rear - a good idea. All in all, a very good and well-made torch.

Wow! The best torch I’ve ever had. Me and a friend walk our dogs in the dark along pitch black canal paths and it has made me feel much safer that I can see so far into the distance, even all the way across fields, it has the most amazing long and wide range!

You should spcify it's a large torch that won't fit in your trousers pocket

..Torch works well, quality is without fault. However, this torch can't be operated with one hand as theswitch on it is contained in the base.Making it pretty useless tbh. As it's also a big heavy torch. 2 hands needed to switch on a torch, is a serious design flaw.However, if you do need an extremely heavy duty torch, this would last for life and is simple to use.Can be used with 3 batteries, to provide a lighter torch. Or 6 to provide power that will focus down a beach. Its a decent piece of kit, completely flawed by the fact you need to pick the torch up upside down to turn it on though.
